I understand you A. It’s easy to think as if the whole of the working class have already heard the case for Socialism through the decades. But as you know the truth is the Party has never been able to make Socialism an immediacy because the SPGB message is utterly drowned out by the gigantic behemoth of continual Capitalist media propaganda and nationalism, racism etc even down to what we are taught as kids in school. Add into that the massive confusion caused by the “Left” to the extent that trying to sell Socialism to the Chinese working class of today is even more impossible because they think they’ve been living in Socialism for the past 70 years. The party has tried it’s level best in the past 120 years to make its voice heard. I fear a situation in decades to come when the 99% finally see the light only when the planet is reduced to a gigantic graveyard. When it’s just too late.

Monbiot inevitably ruins it in the last paragraph. He can no more imagine a world without Capitalism than anyone else can. To think Monbiot. Varoufakis, Chomsky, Thunberg, Brand, Wolff, Klein, Zizek, Moore and all the other blowhards are paid to spout such guff whilst SPGB members could demolish them all just fills me with fury.

This wee lassie has made more sense in a few words than all the guff of the liars and goons at Cop-Out 26. Let’s hope she wakes up. To the solution.

No Parasite is on Amazon Prime. Which is freedom of choice in Capitalism I guess.

X Rebellion (and almost the entire working class) don’t even know what Capitalism is never mind thinking up an alternative to it. They don’t even know what “it” is. The same can be said of their position as regards “Socialism” which they will just see as some sort of Cuba/China/USSR crap. The SPGB is the lone clarion of sanity entire. Thank fuck.

By 2014, Afghanistan was producing three times as much opium as it did in 2000. By 2015, Afghanistan was the source of 90 percent of the world’s opium poppy. This happened while US military was “guarding” opium fields.

Am I right in saying that the only reason the US/UK forces were in Afghanistan since 2001 was to secure the building of pipelines from the Caspian region thus bypassing Iran? Or did they also wish to defeat extremist factions in that zone? Or both? Is it the situation now that since the natural gas/oil infrastructure is now in place and profits made the troops are moved out? Also is production of “milk of the poppy” a factor of any of this? Or am I clutching at conspiracy theories again?

Very possibly the author might just accept more Capitalism as the solution to Capitalism. But just a further example of the kind of writing coming out of the woodwork in the past 20 years which might chime with SPGBers.

A few weeks ago. About 60 Jewish weirdos were crushed to death at the wailing wall. This combined with a year of lockdown frustration and insecurity, evictions to make way for “Settlers” plus the fact that Netanyahu seeks a way out of his corruption mess may have resulted in this carnage.

I like Kliman’s position on the “hollowing out of the state”. Surely the global state must be abolished through mass mandate by the slave class. Preserving whatever elements of the former apparatus as is useful for the future sane society. Unfortunate though that Kliman forgot to mention the original interview was published a year before the Occupy Movement sparked.
To me only one good thing arose from that situation. Namely a slogan… “We are the 99%” which must have crystallised things somewhat in certain workers minds as to what class position actually means.

Had to laugh (or weep) at the Paedophile/trician article. In fact it reminded me of a reply I sent to Young Master Smeet a few years ago where I mixed up “Abstruse” with “Obtuse”. DOH!

Workers can now access an entire galaxy of information at their fingertips yet they know even less. Their phones are smarter than they are.
