Really excellent viewing. The SPGB has such a wealth of reason. I think this form of plain speaking interview type scenario would work just as well as documentaries if the SPGB were to produce more movies. Bring it on!

I think this forum is proving to be excellent. As I have said before I think the Yahoo groups forums should be discontinued and that all companion party forums should be incorporated into this one global site…much like the Zeitgeist website was like (before their imperious leader decided to completely scrap the forums wtih absolutely no recourse to Zeitgeist “members”).
I had a run in with this arsehole when I was 18. I think he was running on the labour bandwagon in the 88′ General election and he set up his campaign office in a shop in Byres Rd in Glasgow. I had joined the party a year before (then left ten years later) and I brazenly walked into the shop to ask him what his “policies” were and he seemed charmed so set about giving me some leaflets. All well and good until I challenged him and asked him to define Socialism which obviously was something he was unable to do. He furiously ran me out of the shop. Same thing happened a few years later with that other great Socialist Sheridan. I was sitting on a bus in Rhodes going back to the Airport and he was sitting behind me with his pretentious wife. I asked him the same kind of questions and he didn’t like it. These pricks are part of the reason why we are still in the shit. They do nothing but derail and bamboozle workers for their own vainglory. Arseholes!
I remember years ago some party member told me that Lennon got a hold of a copy of the 1969 edition of Questions of the Day which gave him the basis for the lyric. Is this just hearsay or is there any credence to this rumour. Was it even a rumour?

Watched this video and it doesn’t fill me me with hope at all…just depression. I went over to Blythswood Sq in Glasgow in November to talk with the “occupiers” there. Ok they were enthusiastic but didn’t have a single iota about how capitalism operates or what the solution is. It really depressed me. Looks as if Occupy is in disarray now anyway whilst TZM is dwindling fast. Let’s face it folks we are all doomed. This species is on it’s way out…fast!
I was going to post this myself since I got the email from the MHI. I read the synopsis of the book with great interest although I get confused by a lot of the technical details sometimes. What is the Party’s position to what Kliman is saying? He rejects under-consumptionist ideas.

I think the WSM forum should be scrapped. I find it insular and outdated as a mode of communicative technology…it’s a 12 year old system and that’s a mighty long time in terms of the age and development of the Internet. If this new forum is turned into the GLOBAL forum for the entire movement (a la TZM site) that way everyone can come on here. Why divide things? Cheers Ray
