So much talking against third-world countries’ military-police operations. Chickens came home to roost. The state, since its emergence in human society, has been created in order to repress the working class

The $170 billion in new funding for immigration enforcement operations that the Republican Party included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act earlier this year led some to warn that the Trump administration was ramping up spending at anti-immigration agencies not just to fund its attacks on migrants, but to deploy federal forces against anyone it wanted to across US communities.

A so-called Anarcho-capitalist government using the repressive forces of the state. Protesters can be killed, as in the old days of the military dictatorship. A change of government will not make any difference

Buenos Aires, Argentina – Jonathan Navarro, 33, can pinpoint the exact moment his life changed forever. The moment constantly replays in his mind — and it was caught on video.

It was nearly 5:30pm on March 12, and a group of pensioners was staging their weekly protest in front of Argentina’s imposing Congress building, its green-tinged bronze dome looming overhead.

Hundreds of demonstrators had joined the retirees to denounce cuts to government benefits and call for an increase in pensions.

Navarro was one of them. He had travelled from San Martín, on the outskirts of the capital Buenos Aires, to protest on behalf of his father, a retiree who is struggling to afford his medication.

Another ceasefire that did not last too long . They only exchanged prisoners

Israeli troops massacred 45 Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday and further restricted aid shipments, in the deadliest day since the announcement of a “peace” agreement 10 days ago.

Since the announcement of the “ceasefire” agreement, 97 Palestinians have been killed in 80 separate violations of the terms of the agreement by Israeli forces. In addition, 230 people have been injured in these attacks.

The ongoing Israeli massacres and deliberate restriction of food make it clear that the “peace” agreement was nothing but a cover for the ongoing genocide. Governments in the Middle East and in Europe and all major media publications hailed the agreement as a breakthrough and a major step toward peace. It is no such thing. It merely cements and makes permanent the Israeli occupation of Gaza and gives diplomatic cover for daily massacres and deliberate mass starvation by Israel.

While the “ceasefire” agreement led to the release of all remaining hostages held by Hamas, it made permanent the Israeli occupation of over 50 percent of the enclave. This has created the conditions for Israel to continue to massacre and starve the population of Gaza with impunity, the only change being that this takes place with a fig leaf of “diplomacy.”

As an old activist that I knew used to say: When they move ( working class with class and socialist consciousness), they move. The question is: Are you going to be ready when they move? We have been ready for several decades, waiting for the working class revolt, the ballot or the bullet ( in some places, the ruling class will resist; we will be forced to remove them )

We are like the good baseball players; we are covering all the bases. We have websites on Facebook, Twitter ( X Premium _), Groups IO, Mastodon, Blogger, WordPress ( Premium ), and Bluesky. We are publishing in several languages. Wake up and smell the coffee. All the pamphlets have been translated into three languages.

PS. You did not mention the Spanish websites; It looks like they did not count. They are working hard, too; they are not sitting in a rocking chair waiting for the working class revolt. They are fully loaded with articles and pamphlets published by the SPGB and the companion parties in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese

The president of Argentina is now a rock n roll star. Political theory has been thrown in the trash can.

The ex-president of Haiti, known as Sweet Micky, is also a rock star

The national sentiment existed in England and France, but the political theory of nationalism and the nation-state emerged later, as the nation-state is a new concept which emerged along with the development of capitalism. World Wars Warld 1-2 were not a product of nationalism; it was a sentiment used to move the working class to defend the so-called homeland, but both were based on socioeconomic interests

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that he has authorized the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to carry out lethal, covert operations in Venezuela aimed at overthrowing the government of President Nicolás Maduro. The World Socialist Web Site denounces these criminal plans for the imperialist takeover of Venezuela.

When reporters questioned him at the White House about a New York Times report citing several US officials about the authorization, Trump did not equivocate in acknowledging the order. The admission is an extraordinary escalation of US imperialist aggression against Venezuela and beyond.

I have been dealing with nationalists for several decades, and it is really difficult to deal with them; it is one of those things that prevents them from obtaining the proper concept of socialism/communism.

Now that capitalism has expanded around the globe and the concept of nation state is in danger of being eliminated, nationalists are coming back with more efforts and desperation to spread nationalism among the population; all types of nationalism have racist roots, and that is one of the main feature of populism, it is not only taking place within the ‘white population’, it is spreading around the whole world

The concept of nation state is not scientific, and it is only an illusion. Its history shows that it is mainly a characteristic of the capitalist society, but most people believe that it has always existed in human society, and most people are proud of their national origin and national superiority, without knowing that it is based on false conceptions

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2018/apr/05/demise-of-the-nation-state-rana-dasgupta. The demise of the nation-state

    https://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/socialist-standard/1960s/1965/no-730-june-1965/black-nationalism-in-africa/.

This article, published by the Socialist Party, shows how nationalism was born in Germany after the capitalist development of Britain and France, and it became a racist concept.

It was spread around the world, including the African world. The so-called African nationalism has its roots in Germany, and it is also based on false conceptions, like any other type of nationalism and patriotism, and it is as racist as white nationalism.

I have had difficulty dealing with workers who believe that the Socialist Party of England, the WSPUS and the Socialist Party of Canada are nationalist and European institutions instead of looking at their worldly ( instead of internationalist) conceptions. Their nationalist view has prevented them from joining the World Socialist Movement and understanding its principles

I do not think it has anything to do with materialism, Engels and Kautsky; it is the influence of bourgeois ideology in their minds, and that influence is also strongly present with the leftwingers.

Social media can not replace face-to-face conversations, but social media is a good tool to spread socialist principles, and the socialist party has spent more time explaining what is not socialism due to the confusion created by Leninism, Bolshevism and nationalism

https://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/socialist-standard/1990s/1991/no-1043-july-1991/nationalism-a-dangerous-illusion/. Nationalism, a dangerous illusion, to “have a country or to belong to a nation” is absolutely meaningless. Feelings of loyalty to a nation-state are purely subjective, having no basis in reality.

Trump has authorised CIA operations in Venezuela; old news is not new news.

The CIA has been in Venezuela before the election of Hugo Chavez, the so-called Peace Prize Nobel winner, who was one of their agents, and she was part of the coup that overthrew Chavez the first time, and they were forced to put him back

The CIA has had more than 142 incursions/ invasions in Latin America. Guaido was also part of the CIA, and he was elected president of Venezuela by Donald Trump without being elected by the Venezuelan

They are looking for drug dealers, but the US government has been associated with several drug dealer leaders in South America, the Caribbean, and Central America

You are making the same allegations propagated by the pro-China and the Maoists, so what is the difference?

We have been in China, and we know what the life of the workers is like, and they are still living in backward conditions

You are accusing the SPGB of materialism, but you are falling into the trap of bourgeois reformism

Chinese capitalism is working for the capitalist class, but capitalism all over the world is a backward economic system; it has already fulfilled its mission, including China

A so-called ceasefire proudly announced by Donald Trump, who claims that he has resolved eight world conflicts, we might need a microscope to look for them, because he has not resolved any; on the contrary, he has created more conflicts, but Israel continues killing more Palestinians

As this newspaper wrote in another message:

In 98 AD, the historian Tacitus, describing the devastation of Britain by the troops of Imperial Rome, wrote: “They make a desert and call it peace.” Nearly 2,000 years later, these bitter words apply to the brutal terms imposed upon the Palestinian population of Gaza by Israel and its imperialist patrons.

I do not think you understood the TWC message.

You are just taking one part where TWC is saying yes, that capitalism will alleviate poverty, in your own reformist point of view.

TWC said no based on the logic of capitalism, which is the logic or the coherent point of view of the socialist party.

Chinese capitalism will continue benefiting the Chinese capitalist class, which it has been doing for several decades, and will continue exploiting the Chinese capitalist class. Wage slavery is poverty, too
