Any agreements between capitalists can be rejected and violated by the capitalists. Not worth the paper. The Apaches had the correct view when they said: We signed hundreds of treaties and all of them were violated, and they kept our lands

The peace plan for Ukraine. In some way, this is what Russia wanted since the very beginning.

They did not want NATO troops near their borders, and they want to have access to the seas for the Naval fleet, and they are going to keep the best territory with access to minerals, and the European powers are out of the peace plan.

This is a deal drafted between Russia and the USA

The dead are already dead, and the capitalists are going to enjoy their money, and all of them will continue exploiting the working class

More than 15 trillion dollars in natural resources in Ukraine is a big wallet for the USA and Russian capitalists. They are not going to blow themselves up when they can negotiate the repartition of the territory; therefore, a peace accord is a much better solution for them.

The USA weapons industry is also in crisis, and several countries around the world are buying weapons from China, Europe and Russia.

Colombia stopped buying weapons from the USA and Israel, and now the supplier is Sweden, and other countries from Latin America are going to follow the same path

This is one military industry that is in crisis, and the Secretary of Defence has said that they can not find manpower to build more warships

The capitalists have been spying on each other for many years, and they have been violating their own national borders and sovereignty for many years.

Right now, the US has sent warships to the Caribbean and the Pacific near the international limit of Venezuela and Colombia, and they are conducting subversive internal operations in Venezuela, but it is only a scare tactic because they know that a war in Latin America might have drastic consequences, and they might be defeated again, like in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Socialist Party has written and published many articles and pamphlets about wars and about this particular war in Eastern Europe. The conditions for a World War, or European, do not exist at present.

Western countries have been forced to increase their military spending by cutting the benefits of European workers, and there is great resistance against that. The European workers are not willing to sacrifice their standard of living for a capitalist confrontation.

The European capitalist class does not want a rebellion in their own countries, and the European workers have more class consciousness than the American working class; they are also resisting against the war, and even more, they voted for Trump because he promised to end the Ukraine war.

Russia is winning this war, but it has taken them several years to obtain the territories that they have conquered now, and they have used all kinds of military resources.

The USA is not going to authorise the use of long-range missiles toward Russia because it is a provocation of war, and Russia also has long-range missiles and nuclear bombs, and the US is not in economic conditions to carry on a long war either, and young people are not willing to fight another war.

It was Lenin and the Bolsheviks who created the division between socialism and communism, and their followers continue spreading the same distortions.

Soviet leaders never claimed that they were living under a communist society.

The newly elected mayor of New York has said that he is a democratic socialist, but he is not a communist; he must be reading comic books, or the collected works of Tom and Jerry

The billionaires of the so-called Chinese Communist Party are competing with the US billionaires, and some rancid Maoists are still claiming that China is a socialist society, and it was not a socialist society during the time of Mao Zedong either.

For Vladimir Lenin, state capitalism was a step toward socialism, and he also considered that it was beneficial for the working class. He also adopted Leon Trotsky’s concept of the Permanent Revolution

In our time, anything is called far left ( similar to the concept of Fascism and Neoliberalism ), and it comes from the bourgeoisie class, which does not know the meaning of left and far left, and they do not know the difference between left and socialism/communism.

Left means reformism, and the Leninists and social democrats are a reformist movement; and we do not make an alliance with the left and their so-called anti-imperialist fronts.

The socialist party is not part of the left or the far left, and one of the basic problems of the socialist party has been that it is not a reformist organisation, although we support certain reforms that benefit the working class.

    Reformist Roundabout

The socialist party support the three basic principles of Marxism, but it has made further contributions
to the socialist principles, and without Marx and Engels, it could have created its own concept of socialism.

    Do Socialists Need Marx?

Some members of the Socialist Party cite publications and articles published by the leftist organisation to reinforce its principles. Even more, several members of the socialist party are publishing documents are articles in other leftist organisations.

The socialist party has had open debate with leftist and right-wing organisations and individuals ( including fascists ), and the leftists do not do that; therefore, those debates have not affected the basic principles of the socialist party.

    Debate with Fascist pt.1

    Debate with Fascist pt.2

The leftist groups will never have debates with fascists; on the contrary, both would have had violent confrontations.

Publishing articles and links from other groups does not turn us into a leftist organisation.

We can not become hermits and live isolated from the world’s reality.

The Socialist Standard publishes book reviews about books published by different types of individuals and organisations, and they are used to reinforce our principles or to clarify the conception written by the writers, and those reviews are very useful.

Democrats move to end shutdown, bail out Trump
    Patrick Martin

Eight Senate Democrats voted Sunday night to support a motion to begin debate on a Trump-backed budget resolution, dropping a phoney display of opposition to the would-be dictator-president and moving to end the partial shutdown of the federal government. This allowed for a 60-40 vote on a procedural resolution to bring a revised budget resolution to a vote in the Senate within days, on terms dictated by Trump and the Republicans.

The thing is that ACA ( AKA Obamacare) is a tax law approved by the US Congress. Since it is a taxation act, it places a big burden on the profits of the capitalist class and high-income individuals, but the left-wingers do not say that; they also propagate the wrong ideas that the workers are the taxpayers. The rich people are the ones who want to eliminate the Affordable Care Act, and some insurance companies want to increase their premiums and add pre-existing conditions again to make more profits.

Sadly, millions of workers believe the lies that the immigrants are using their tax money to obtain medical services, and they voted for that when they elected Donald Trump, but most workers do not know that the capitalist state is financed with surplus value, and it is the executive apparatus of the capitalist class to manage their affairs, but workers believe that they are part of the state.

The Democratic leaders and the Republican leaders want to eliminate it because they also receive money from rich contributors, and most of them make a lot of money as senators and representatives and as investors, and some of them fall into the tax bracket for ACA. If the US working class had class consciousness, it would never support its own class enemies.

Whatever Donald Trump and his ministers and collaborators are doing now, it is not a surprise, he said it on his political campaign before being elected, and more than 75 million voters supported it.

ACA tax law includes provisions like premium tax credits for health insurance, an additional 0.9% Medicare tax, and a 3.8% Net Investment Income Tax (NIIT). While the federal individual mandate was repealed in 2019, some states have their own individual mandates with penalties. The ACA also requires employers to report the cost of health coverage on employee W-2s for informational purposes.
    Key ACA tax provisions
Premium Tax Credit (PTC): This credit helps lower monthly premium payments for individuals and families who purchase health coverage through the ACA marketplace. You may need to file Form 8962 to reconcile any advance credit payments with the credit you’re eligible for.
Additional Medicare Tax: An extra 0.9% Medicare tax applies to wages or compensation exceeding $200,000 for individuals or $250,000 for married couples filing jointly.
Net Investment Income Tax (NIIT): A 3.8% tax is applied to the net investment income of individuals, estates, and trusts that have income above certain thresholds ($200,000 for single filers, $250,000 for married couples).
Employer reporting: Employers must report the cost of employer-sponsored health coverage on Form W-2, Box 12 (code DD). This is for informational purposes and is not taxable income.
** repealed individual mandate:** The federal penalty for not having health insurance was eliminated starting in 2019.
State mandates: Some states have enacted their own individual mandates and may have penalties for not having health insurance.

    ———————

There is one simpler solution, Medicare for all workers ( like the one provided to the retiree ), but it is not going to be approved.

    —————————-
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance companies cannot refuse coverage, charge more, or limit benefits for any pre-existing medical condition. This protection applies to all ACA-compliant plans, including those purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace and most employer-sponsored plans.
    What is a Pre-existing Condition?
A pre-existing condition is any health problem (physical or mental) that you had before the date your new health coverage started. Examples of conditions that were commonly considered pre-existing before the ACA include:
    Asthma
    Cancer
Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)
Heart conditions (e.g., coronary artery disease, heart failure)
    High blood pressure/cholesterol
Depression and other mental health conditions
    COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
    Sleep apnea
    Epilepsy
    Pregnancy
    Key Protections Under the ACA
Guaranteed Coverage: Insurers cannot deny you coverage or refuse to sell you a policy because of your health status.
No Higher Premiums: Insurers cannot charge you a higher premium based on your health or medical history. Premiums can only vary by age, location, family size, and tobacco use.
No Waiting Periods: Coverage for pre-existing conditions begins immediately, from the first day your plan is active.
Essential Health Benefits: Plans must cover a comprehensive set of “essential health benefits” (EHB), and cannot exclude benefits for specific pre-existing conditions.
    Exceptions
The only major exception to these rules is for “grandfathered” individual health insurance plans—those purchased on or before March 23, 2010. These older plans are not required to cover pre-existing conditions or comply with all ACA regulations. If you have a grandfathered plan, you can switch to an ACA-compliant Marketplace plan during open enrollment or a special enrollment period to gain these protections.
Note: Short-term health insurance plans and limited-benefit plans may not be ACA-compliant and can still have coverage exclusions or limitations for pre-existing conditions. It is important to check the plan details carefully.

The main concern of the leftists is Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, and taxing the rich, to remove right-wing leaders and replace them with one of their own. They are not a threat to capitalism; with them, capitalism will always exist. For them, Soros controls the whole world instead of the market system
