I prefer to have a paper book in my hands and take notes from a paper book. Even more, for most books that I read, I have a notebook, but when paper books are not available, I buy the digital ones, and I print them, and they are transformed into paper books, and I send them to a friend who owns a bookbinding company, or I turn them into a spiral book with hard cardboard backing. They last for many years; the place where I keep my books and notebooks is fumigated, not dusty, fireproof and clean, and I have bookshelves; it has fluorescent lamps. Inside the house or inside a garage, they get insects.
In Spain, they have kept all their literature and novels from their golden age in paper book format; they are classical books. In secondary school, we had a class in literature, and we were motivated to memorise the names of the books, the authors and a summary of the literature books.
