KeymasterWhat Marx never did was to permit his philosophical understanding to stand in the way of actual political activity. He left all that musings behind with Hegel and Feuerbach. He used his mind for other purposes and got his hands dirty with Party work.
LBird now uses Marx’s view on materialism as reason not to participate in any form of socialist action…It’s as if he’s waiting for Godot to come and vote on it.

KeymasterThe protests may have disappeared from the media’s headlines but it is still happening and there has been further developments. The further integration of the Indian economy to the global economy continues
There is an intensifying fight between local and national markets and global markets.
Instead of physically holding control of its own buffer stocks to stabilise prices for the farmers, India would use foreign exchange and then bid on the world market whenever necessary to boost reserves.

KeymasterChina are now officially a military adversary according to UK’s new defence review and accordingly the UK will deploy more resources to the Far East
“By 2030, we will be deeply engaged in the Indo-Pacific as the European partner with the broadest, most integrated presence in support of mutually-beneficial trade, shared security and values.”
The government highlighted a planned British aircraft carrier deployment to the “increasingly the geopolitical centre of the world” region.
While adding to its Trident nuclear warheads, the UK nevertheless tells China to reduce its nuclear weapon capability.
Anecdotally, i just get a feeling of deja vu with pre-WWI arms race and declarations of spheres of influence and the encirclement of Germany that went on up to WW2.

A new Royal Navy ship is to be built to protect “critical” undersea cables. The Ministry of Defence said the cables, which are “vital to the global economy and communications between governments”, are at “risk of sabotage” due to “submarine warfare”.
We all know that a “protect” capability can also be used to “attack”
“… The MoD added it will also “be able to support with other defence tasks, including exercises and operations in the Arctic which will become an increasingly contested area”…”

KeymasterThe Party identified the Uyghur persecution well before much of the media so we cannot be accused of joining any band-wagon
And we followed up a few years later
We are well aware that many vested interests possess their own agenda both pro- and anti-Chinese diplomacy in using the Uighur persecution for their own purposes.
Our blog concurred with the legal definition of genocide was applicable.
https://socialismoryourmoneyback.blogspot.com/2021/03/the-attempted-genocide-of-uighur.html
And that the Uyghur were subject to forced labour
https://socialismoryourmoneyback.blogspot.com/2020/12/uighur-slave-labour.html
But what should be highlighted is that there are influences which are not motivated by our concern for our fellow-workers and the tragedy of the Uyghur is being manipulated for nefarious reasons.
Having said that, Ajit Singh, the author, himself is not unbiased or independent.

Keymasterhttps://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2021/3/18/are-we-on-the-verge-on-a-new-commodity-supercycle
In the usual business cycle, demand pushes prices up, and supply increases to try to capture that windfall, sending prices down again. In a supercycle, supply is so inadequate to demand growth that prices rise for years, even a decade or more.
