ParticipantOr perhaps it was the terminology "in" the message, one was refering to?

ParticipantThe title The Socialist Party "of Great Britain", is distinct from the message below it!

ParticipantWhat we need in the first instance, is an Image, that is conducive to and aligned with "our aim". The use of archaic terminology, ie Great Britain is, IMHO, an anchor to an outdated and failed past and "does not" reflect our objective.

ParticipantThe NERB Special meeting is taking place on the Branch site.

ParticipantIf it had "Unite for World Socialism" across the centre, then it would be better!

ParticipantAs someone whose disability affects vision, I wholeheartedly agree with the increase in font size!Cheers DJP

ParticipantI have to agree with Adam. This is an oppurtunity to build on the impressive work carried out by Kent and Sussex Branch in the Euro elections and their continued presence, with literature stalls ETC. It builds up a consistency of approach and appearance, that we are not, a fly by night organisation. Continually getting our "unique message" across will pay dividends, I believe, in the minds of fellow workers, where this "consistent approach" is implemented.

ParticipantI am of the opinion that, as the Internet is so interconnected and convoluted at times, if we see or hear, of anyone even approximating the ideas we espouse, we should extend the hand of fraternity, in the hope that the recipients are what they appear to be, or, what "we hope they are" or "could be".Those who are afraid to take risks, tend to live in a vacuum!!!

ParticipantThe NERB meeting has now started. However, because of problems on Yahoo, (once again) it will be a bit difficult at first, to run the meeting. Hopefully Yahoo will pull their finger out and get any issues they are having, sorted. The "Agends" is as posted above.

ParticipantTotally agree with all that you say Alan. An oppurtunity spurned but also a valuable lesson we "must" learn!

ParticipantJust seen Tommy Sheridan on the BBC news. He's telling everyone they'll have Socialism north of the border if the "Yes" vote wins. Of course this numpty, as he stated, equates Socialism with the "Public Ownership" of North Sea Oil and Gas ETC. Are the Fish going to be owned by Scotland if they swim in Scottish waters? Moreover, are they going to have to pass through a type of "customs checkpoint" if they want to swim in "Foreign" waters?
