With the EC's decision to recognise NE Br as a "regional branch", I would suggest that comrades send in suggested times and dates for another possible e meeting and also, for an attempt at a "physical branch" meeting. For an e meeting, I would suggest we follow Bill's idea and have the meeting over 2 or so days!
Whilst we are considering these two things, I would suggest that comrades start to consider what items they wish to be covered at the proposed meetings.
Leave any suggestions on this site(https://uk.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NEB-SPGB/) either for times and dates for the proposed e meeting and possible locations for a physical meeting, as well as a list of items and subjects that could possibly be covered ate the same.
I will attempt to collate all the info and structure a meeting, or meetings. If anyone has any suggestions at all, please message this site or, alternatively, email me at, stvclbrn@….

Having voted to keep the NE branch going the first NERB meeting was inquorate So no branch officers elected
Nine of the 17 NE Branch members on the books voted to adopt the Form C and so to reconstitute the branch as the North East Regional Branch. Unfortunately, most of these are not on the branch online forum. Finding a way round this should not be impossible, even if postal ballots are not ideal.
It certainly was a depressing turnout over the two days or so of the Branch meeting, Myself, Eileen, Joe and Vin as a guest, is not the turnout I had hoped for. The only thing to hold out hope, is that it is early days for the Branch, so you never know!Anyway, onwards and upwards!
Without a quorate meeting and no elected secretary I assume that no single member of the NERB has a full list of members and addresses etc.

Up until now, 3 members (including myself) have expressed an intention to participate in the forthcoming Branch meeting.I am still progressing the agenda and will post it when ready. . Has the N. E. group got the ability to set up it's own site, where members and supporters can communicate with each other, whenever they wanted, ie. outside of meeting times/dates and discuss whatever they wanted to, without bieng silenced ?
I imagine that will be an item on the Agenda northern light! At the moment, N.E. Branch has no control over it's own site, an issue I presume will be addressed. I hope that you, along with other interested partys will attend. It is about time a Socialist presence is once again in evidence in our region. I was talking specifically about issues such as moderation control and control of whomsoever is allowed to post on the site! As well as issues surrounding post content.Hopefully that will be clarified within the next week.YFS,Steve Colborn.
