After the Panama Paper leak we now have the Paradise Paper leaks. One reason American corporations are hoarding is that they expect tax relief to be passed by Trump shortly on foreign earnings repatriated.https://socialismoryourmoneyback.blogspot.com/2017/10/cheating-system-it-is-system.htmlNor would bringing back the cash-hoard help the economy but merely fill the purses of the privileged even more.https://socialismoryourmoneyback.blogspot.com/2017/10/tax-reform-to-benefit-rich.html

That is a pity. I understood he resigned from the IC but i must have missed the bit where he left the Party. However, i am sure he still maintains a comradely attitude and so is there a possibility he can be asked to pass over the reins of the new website and the contact details Nathan Lisgo so that the project can continue. If we approved payment for professional assistance, can we approach DJP and ask if he, too, is willing to accept a paid commission?

It is indeed a very good debunking video. Very informative. One to embrace in future when the libertarian right appear on the net. BTW never heard of this Paul Joseph Watson until Robbo mentioned him. DJP, we need to address ALL our critics, even the obnoxious ones.

The more i think about it, i keep wondering if re-publishing what we have already written on the Russian Revolution was the most wisest choice for a publication when we appear to struggle to issue educational or agitational material on contemporary events or debates such as been mentioned on the banking thread or the resurgence of nationalism or the vilification of fellow workers who choose to re-locate. (I'm sure other members can point to other urgent social problems that require a full socialist analysis). But to answer your question, JDW, I doubt very much whether the impact will be a couple of copies, much less a couple of dozen or a couple of a hundred. BTW, what was the print-run for the book?

An article that may interest YMS and others on Varoufakis viewshttps://www.newvision.co.ug/new_vision/news/1460768/-promise-fiscal-money

    Quote:
With the rise of financialization, commercial banks have become increasingly reliant on one another for short-term loans, mostly backed by government bonds, to finance their daily operations. This liquidity acquires familiar properties: used as a means of exchange and as a store of value, it becomes a form of money. And there’s the rub: as banks issue more inter-bank money, the financial system requires more government bonds to back the increase. The growing inter-bank money supply fuels demand for government debt, in a never-ending cycle that generates tides of liquidity over which central banks have little control. In this brave new financial world, central banks’ independence is becoming meaningless, because the money they create represents a shrinking share of the total money supply. With the rise of inter-bank money, backed mostly by government debt, fiscal policy has become an essential factor in determining the quantity of actual money lubricating modern capitalism.

This topic is not going to go away and the debate will be forever recurring in some shape or form.I think YMS point about a shop's credit facility is very too the point and is indeed what is needed and what i have hoped for – easier analysis to understand. But once more (risking accusations of placing burdens upon others' shoulders) we do require something of substance and definitive to refer people to.

From a couple of threads on Libcom, there seems to have been quite a kerfuffle at the bookfair, where some  Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists were handing out anti-transsexual leaflets. That word along with CIS ( a term for people whose gender identity matches the sex that they were assigned at birth) are new to me. Transsexuals are not, however, since i meet them every day in all manner of daily life. Nothing unusual where i live, a provincial rural market town. Some anarchist women are now being accused of transphobia.

Many thanks, ALB, for your info.  I think my questioner may well have been concerned about paying out hard cash for stuff he has already read or could access on our website.Perhaps, the Introduction could be posted online as a taster and a helpful link to publicise the book. Is that too much to ask for by someone else who has also been crticised for making suggestions from afar?
