The synopsis intrigues me and i look forward when i can get to watch it for free.
Any attempt to present the case for a resource based economy in an interesting manner is to be applauded…even if it does sound a bit pretentious…i’ll reserve my judgement

It was a fairly impressive turn out of Trump supporters and aside from the media attention the confrontations were not that extreme as they could have been.
For me, the problem is that each and everyone in that pic genuinely believes Trump has had the election stolen and a myth is growing that in many ways is alike to the right-wing Germans in post WW1 who believed they were stabbed-in the back and didn’t lose the war
The longer Trump does not concede and the more his claims of fraud is spread, i think the more chance that there will be faithless electors in the Electoral College.
Perhaps that is game-play…to win the College…mere idle speculation by myself

I think i have said it before that despite many various and pertinent articles in the Standard, we still have no actual joined-up definitive critique.
Perhaps if someone with time to spare under lock-down could collate all our online analyses and re-edit and re-format them into something that can always be referenced when we come up against such articles sympathetic to the UBI.
We really have to make a determined effort to present a convincing case against the UBI and keep pointing out its failures and weaknesses. Too many are being taking in by its deceptively simple superficial presentation…”free money for nothing”
Some actually believe that UBI will end poverty and that there will be a cease-fire in the class war…from capitalist like Andrew Yang to leftists like Yanis Varoufakis.

Is disagreeing with pro-Israeli government advocates still to be judged as offensive. I don’t know what he actually said about zionism or zionists but what we would say is also very likely to upset and offend their views.

Health and Human Services – no longer run by a Big Pharma lobbyist. Homeland Security – willing to look at white supremacists, unwilling to put children in cages. Labour – becoming pro-union. State – restaffed, and supporting our allies. Interior – save the parks and public lands. Treasury – with a pro-people attitude. Transportation – actually building infrastructure.
Then there are the Sub-Agencies, the Independent Agencies, Boards Commissions and Committees, and the Quasi-Official Agencies. There is the CDC, CIA, FBI, the Armed forces, the Postal Service and the weather service.
There are issues surrounding labour relations, prisons, the police, civil rights, cyber security, housing, rural development, social security and border control which can be resolved solely by the executive. Gathering and publishing statistics, supporting arts and culture, encouraging all sorts of research also do not require the Senate’s approval.
Foreign policy has always been considered a domain of the executive. Expect a return to supporting democracy and opposing autocracy. Reaffirming NATO. Not suspecting that the president leaned on a foreign country until his son-in-law got a loan from there. Perhaps a return to the Iran nuclear agreement.

As you say, MS, he has the authority to act. The question is, will he? Or will he be more selective in carrying out his executive orders so as to placate the possible moderate Republican potential allies?

I note another article where Biden will be following Trump’s economic policy towards China.

Sadly, Janet, i’m of the view that socialism itself will not be possible in time to avert a civilisation collapse from climate change and the knock on effects such as mass climate refugees.
But i am a glass half-empty person with a gloomy perspective for our future as a species. I’ll be glad and happy if i’m proved wrong.
