What has happened to our Pepsi Cola socialist who was in this forum? I have not heard anything from Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, leftwing parties, and others darling of the left who were promoting the lesser evil, and who was going to move Biden toward the left, which is the same as the right, or both are irrelevant. The problem of mankind is not the presidents, and ministers, political parties, race, gender, or ethnic group, it is capitalism. Now they are deaf-mute

Joe Biden is just another capitalist president like the prior ones. None of them were defenders of the working class which is going to be a contradiction It looks like the DSA does not know about the real concept of super structure

    Biden’s Saudi weapons ban

“The notion to ban the export of ‘offensive weapons’ that could be used in the war in Yemen must be seen as a compromise to this US tight-rope walk on the issue, but not actually realisable,” Andreas Krieg, a professor in the Defence Studies Department of King’s College London

That is what Donald Trump and his followers call the radical left, I wonder what would be for them the radical right. They should read Lenin’s book: Leftwing Communism an Infantile disorder to understand where the term comes from, but they are not assiduous readers of political thoughts The Democratic Party is just another vanguard political front of the USA ruling class as the Republican Party. The USA working class is an orphan class, they do not have their own political party

    Chomsky praises Biden

“I must say that what Biden has done so far is a rather pleasant surprise to me. It’s better than I would have expected. He’s pretty sharply criticized on the left for flaws and omissions in the domestic policy; these criticisms are, in my view, correct but a little bit unfair. There’s only so much you can do when half of the Senate is — no matter what you say — is going to be 100% against it.”

Then he goes on to recommend creating cooperatives as a policy.

Nevertheless, he does evoke Marx in some of his responses in the interview

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Sunday declared an “enduring and ironclad” American commitment to Israel

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said his country views the United States as a “full partner” against threats, “not the least, Iran.”

    https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/4/13/biden-on-track-to-accept-fewest-refugees-in-us-history-report

Despite pledges to raise the cap on the number of refugees allowed to resettle in the United States Biden is on track to accept the smallest number of refugees of any administration in American history, a new report by the International Rescue Committee says.

“There has now been an unexplained and unjustified eight-week delay in issuing the revised refugee admissions policy,” IRC said. “As a result, tens of thousands of already-cleared refugees remain barred from resettlement and over 700 resettlement flights have been cancelled, leaving vulnerable refugees in uncertain limbo.”

The delay, IRC said, is “unjustified”

Biden expressed support for a seven-month extension of a Trump-era policy imposing harsher sentences on people caught with synthetic painkillers containing fentanyl.

Grant Smith, deputy director of the Office of National Affairs for the Drug Policy Alliance, in a statement emphasizing the need to learn from past mistakes:
“we’ve seen how this story plays out, specifically with crack cocaine in the 1980s. Law enforcement-driven, media-perpetuated hysteria results in severe mandatory minimum sentences and extreme racial disparities.”

Well, that is the lesser evil approved by many left-wingers and now they are looking for all kinds of excuses. They are unprincipled. We have been on the correct side for more than 100 years

The media has finally caught up with us on the forum and is now reporting on Biden’s reluctance to amend Trump’s immigration cap.
