ABC suspends Goldberg from the view because she said that the Holocaust was not about race. What about Karl Kautsky who wrote that the Jews are not a race?

The Amnesty International Report is here:

‘In a follow-up question, the AP’s Matt Lee asked Price why the Biden administration is so dismissive of Amnesty’s report but often cites its human rights research on countries like Syria and China.

“Why is it that – without taking a stand or making a judgment about the findings of this particular report, why is it that all criticism of Israel is – from these groups is almost always rejected by the U.S., and yet accepted, welcomed, and endorsed when it comes – when it comes out, when the criticism is of other countries, notably countries with which you have significant policy differences?,” asked Lee.’

ZJW – why the Biden administration is so dismissive of Amnesty’s report but often cites its human rights research on countries like Syria and China.

I frequently come across the exact same response from the Left when such NGOs as Human Rights Watch criticises Nicaragua or Venezuela or China. I’m immediately accused of citing a biased Washington-friendly faux human rights group yet as you say they will happily resort to its reports on other issues such as Palestine.

I still honestly don’t know about the legitimacy of the White Helmets in Syria.

The Community Security Trust (CST) provides security for Britain’s Jewish community, and monitors anti-Semitism.

The charity says it recorded reports of 2,255 anti-Jewish hate incidents in 2021, up 34% on 2020.

Its annual report says the rise was driven by reactions to violence in Israel and Gaza

“It is possible that the loosening of Covid restrictions, coinciding with the war in Israel and Gaza – a subject that triggers strong emotional responses – provided people with a potential release from months of lockdown-induced frustration,” the charity said.

More than a third of all anti-Semitic incidents in 2021 were linked to the conflict in the Middle East, or demonstrated anti-Zionist motivation alongside anti-Semitism, the charity said.

AS Israel welcomes Ukrainian jewish refugees, it excludes Palestinians once again

A new law passed Thursday that effectively bans the naturalization of Palestinian spouses of Israeli Jews.

The law discriminates against Israel’s 21% Arab minority – who are Palestinian by heritage and Israeli by citizenship – by barring them from extending citizenship and permanent residency rights to Palestinian spouses.

The Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt changes the ADL’s official official that anti-Zionism isn’t always antisemitic.

“To those who still cling to the idea that anti-Zionism is not antisemitism — let me clarify this for you as clearly as I can — anti-Zionism is antisemitism.”

He specifically vilified three Palestine solidarity groups — Students for Justice in Palestine, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and Jewish Voice for Peace — terming them “hateful” and “extremist.”

ADL’s 2021 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, found that of the 2,717 incidents it recorded last year, 345 (just over 12 percent) involved “references to Israel or Zionism” and of these, “68 took the form of propaganda efforts by white supremacist groups.

UK government is cutting links with the National Union of Students because of concerns about anti-Semitism. Universities minister Michelle Donelan said it meant the NUS would not be eligible for government funding.

    Anti-Zionism is not anti-semitic

I didn’t know the NUS was funded by the government. Won’t be a problem if it collapses as being president of the NUS is one traditional pathway to becoming a Labour MP.

The biggest anti-semitism is against the Arabs. That controversy about semitism is only a lie, there is not such thing as a race or ethnic group known as Semites, in reality there are semite languages. Manking did not come from three individuals and one man is not the founder of mankind, it is only a biblical fantasy

ALB, the article link points out that at present the NUS is not in receipt of any government funds. It is a pre-emptive gesture to ‘smear’ the NUS as institutionally anti-semite, a similar tactic as done with the Labour Party.

The theory of the Great Replacement has also been blamed on the Jews. The Buffalo shooter is a supporter of that theory. It has been the opposite way, the white peoples replaced all the Mexican in the South-West

    The Weekly Worker take

“…leftwing anti-racist language is now being routinely deployed against the anti-Zionist/anti-imperialist left itself – against which it often has no defence. Only by upholding the principle of unrestricted free speech can we fight back effectively – something which too much of the left has abandoned, forgotten or even positively fears.”
