ParticipantOK, so this post has been flagged, why? How proposterous! What is it in this post that can cause the least offence? Was it because I said my emotion had turned to anger? Really comrades, this is the pits. Whomsoever flagged this post must have no emotions whatsoever.I realise that the knives are out for myself, however, I have all the posts from the forum and spintcom. I'm not bothered one iota. If I am to continually to be denied a fair hearing, so be it but the "evidence" does not support this witch hunt and hunt it is.The infamous Colborn.

ParticipantSo add causing "pain and anguish" to the list of reasons to deny membership. Who are these individuals who were caused "pain and anguish"? I bet no one has the gumption to admit to being such a softy as to admit their "pain and anguish" and why it was felt! Stevie C.

ParticipantIt has come to my attention, that at the recent ADM, the idea was expressed that myself and Vin Maratty had caused "pain and anguish" in the Party. After I had stopped laughing at the utter absurdity of this idea, that a nothing incident could be blown up to such a ludicrous extent and that revolutionary socialists could be so petty and thin skinned, my emotion has turned to anger that this preposterous idea could even be stated.I think comrades in the party should give their heads a good shake and realise how pathetic this really, really is. ParticipantActually admice, I was introduced to the Socialist Party by the woman, who I am now married to. She is currently a ,member of The Socialist Party. That she does not come on this Forum, is her choice.Eil, has the same perspective as I do, on Socialism, she actually, along with Bobby Gleg, got me into the Socialist Party. Her "money trick", is a doozy.Afraid, if you are trying to present, that male and female Socialists have a difference, then, in the parlance of my native North East of England, you are pissing against the wind. You are wrong. If that offends you, then, it is you who should re-evaluate your thought processes. Stevie C.

ParticipantIt would be interesting to find out, if anyone had taped a meeting on the miners strike, from the same time, that Janey Percy Smith, Clifford Slapper and myself did, in Islington, regarding the miners strike, Stevie C.

ParticipantDavid Cameron, in his Lord Mayor's banquet speech, called for "Capitalism" lessons in schools. He called for a culture "that values that typical British, entrepreneurial, buccaneering spirit". Well Dave, you said a mouthful there!Capitalism, a system of society that lurches from one crisis to another, like a drunken man on a pub crawl. That puts profit before human need, or the fulfilment of the same. That condemns at least 2 billion people, one third of the worlds population, to live in the vilest of conditions. Without even clean water, sanitation, or sufficient food for adequate survival. Whilst at the same time, an infinitesimally small section of the worlds population, live in such luxury, as to make the fabled Solomon envious.Buccaneer, basically a pirate, an unscrupulous adventurer. Historically, one can understand the wealthy using these as "laudable" examples. Did not the ruling elite make Franny Drake and Mr Raleigh Sirs? and they were no more nor less than pirates, or as they liked to be called, privateers. So now we know where your inspiration comes from Dave!He went further, however. To us, the vast majority, he boldly said that austerity would drag on, when he stated "we need to do more with less. Permanently". He wasn't talking about himself and his wealthy mates either. None of the, "we are in it together" garbage. Finally, Dave said Britain needed to, "support, reward and celebrate enterprise". In 1987, as if calling on past Capitalist crisis and presaging those yet to come, the RORO ferry, Herald of Free Enterprise capsized, killing 193 passengers and crew. This speech, another "Herald for" free enterprise, will lead to even more suffering, as the austerity cuts bite, ever more savagely and most assuredly, more deaths will follow. It is interesting to note, that in the same year as the Herald capsized, her sister ship, the Spirit of Free Enterprise was renamed, the Pride of Kent. What chance then, of a rethink on the attack on "ordinary" folk? What chance of workers organising to create a society based on, "from each according to ability, to each according to need". Now there's an interesting thought! Stevie C.

ParticipantCapitalism to be on the school curriculum.Jingoism and nationalism about war, even though we have a month and a half until 2014.Next we will have the American way of swearing allegiance to the flag before all school days start.Yes, it's a "Brave New World" indeed! Steve Colborn.

ParticipantAgreed Marcos. But with advent of the internet and the near instant communication this has engendered, no Socialist is absolutely alone anymore. We are a diverse lot but we have more in common, than we have differences. Be well comrade and keep up the good work. More power to your class consciousness! Stevie C.

ParticipantActually Alan, inside, or outside of the Party, I cannot be other than I am, a Socialist and do no other than I do, put the case for Socialism in speech, or the written word, experience of both, I have a multitude. That the EC has taken this "unprecedented step" is regretable, making a mountain out of a, non existent mole hill. Talk about creating a historical myth!I have gone over the posts and records of Oct, Nov, Dec 2012, Jan 2013 from both the forum and spintcom, guess what I found? just individual members who disagreed, sometimes passionately but nothing else. A face to face disagreement would have been sorted out quickly, an internet argument? proplonged and passing into legend! The whole episode is a Shakespearian farce. YFS Stevie C.

Participant"Because at the moment we are so few, isolation can bring on despair. The Socialist Party of Great Britain and the World Socialist Movement cannot ignore the social in our name and should provide solidarity and fellowship to one another. "I totally agree. Maybe the SPGB can provide this fellowship, to one who has spent his whole adult life, fighting, arguing and debating for an alternative world! That someone is me. Admit me back into the Party I have spents 32 years pushing the ideas of. I can fight the Socialist case outside the SPGB but inside, would give me, "collective credence". Or is that to much to ask?
