ModeratorHahaha very droll DJP!

ModeratorNot speaking as a moderator here – but what a strange comment Chelmsford! It’s open to anyone – whether they be man or woman – to submit that an idea or argument is misogynist. It’s pretty strange to argue that only ‘unpleasant women’ can call it out. But maybe I’ve misunderstood your point.

ModeratorLizzie please do not make any more personal attacks on this forum. You have accused Marcos of being sexist and a misogynist without any reason as far as I can see, based on his recent posts.
It is fair to attack a person’s ideas but you haven’t done that – you’ve simply attacked the person. Similarly it’s fair to point out spelling mistakes but you should not accuse the wrong speller of being pathetic.
We are all friends here I hope.
Kind regards

ModeratorThank you Bijou. I live in hope that everyone does remain civil – something that’s easy to do for most of us here, most of the time – and I want us to live in peace with each other. We can safely attack ideas and arguments but there is no excuse for personal abuse. I sincerely hope that I won’t have any work to do as moderator.

ModeratorNot sure what you mean Chelmsford – in what way am I being racist? Please advise, it matters.

ModeratorDave I was sincere – my tongue was not actually in my cheek as a moderator. I won’t stand for abuse – not sure why you would question this? I think we all know what amounts to abuse, we don’t need a committee to agree the definition of abuse. But thank you for your kind wishes, I do appreciate them!
Kind regards

ModeratorIf Paula made a spelling error that is not very important, the importance issue is the job that she is going to perform, and in this party we had never had a woman as a moderator, ( but during the war women played an important role in this party ) and in certain occasions women have more courage than men. like in Colombia where a bunch of women built their own city because most of their husbands are dead
Thank you Marcos for your support. I’m happy to join the revolutionary women of the world.

ModeratorIf anyone from now on posts anything that I consider inappropriate, I’m going to moderate them now that I’m officially a moderator. If they say something abusive I’m going to delete them without warning – hopefully I can do this now that I’m official. If they say something vaguely insulting or otherwise inappropriate, I’m going to warn them and I’ll do this privately. As a party member I advocate free speech but reserve the right to censor abuse.

ModeratorI’ve just realised the answer to my own question – the EC will moderate the moderators.

ModeratorAs someone who was moderated in the past by Cde Alan Johnson, I think I understand the moderator role. Alan was very strict and he told me off many times but I respected his opinion. I’m willing to be a moderator, but perhaps I’m a bit of a loose cannon who might need to be moderated myself. Who will moderate the moderators?

“Should we get rid of the monarchy
Is it time to ditch this old-fashioned game of thrones, rooted as it is in slavery, robbery, murder, tax dodging and unsavoury sex scandals? Would an elected head of state make any difference to your life?
Join us for a talk and discussion at the Friends’ Meeting House, 2pm on Saturday 13 May.”
