ParticipantFirstly we’re not the left, let alone part of the “splintered left”.
The working class, being the revolutionary class, the capitalists have had their revolution. We are manifestly the revolutionary movement, for Socialism. This differentiates us from all other parties, we are unquestionably unique on the political front.
Our role is to make socialists, we don’t condemn fellow workers as you put it? We seek to educate them, about the urgent need for socialism.
We expose those and attack the left or right wings of capitalism, who seek to hold back Socialism. There lies the difference. If you want us to hold out our hand of friendship to such scoundrels, you are on a very slippery slope. In the end we are respected for being honest.

ParticipantNo. What is it that you don’t understand? At best reforms are a waste of time and effort, often not worth the paper they’re written on. Giving false hope, that you can change the slaughterhouse in the interests of workers, i.e, make capitalism a little more palatable.
At any rate reforms benefit capitalists. Again, to benefit the capitalist class, at the expense of one or more sections of the working class.
Reformers call for the end to nuclear weapons…..and fail to understand why wars happen. Capitalism is based on competition, not cooperation. A fight to the death over natural resources, land, trade routes, everything in and on the planet. Yet workers have not gained one inch in fighting in Capitalism’s wars!
What happens with reforms is when fighting for one reform, around the corner is a far more pressing issue…..a revolving door.
Capitalism is a hydroheaded monster, loop off one head and several appear.
What happens when workers are let down fighting for reforms? They become disappointed, disillusioned, leading to apathy and angry. We have been told by Labour Party members, if that’s socialism under Labour governments, that they want nothing to do with socialism.
We repeat it over and over, almost 115 years, the warning that capitalism has a built in mechanism for reforms.
Our position is if you oppose capitalism, its grotesque ideology, the propensity for war. You should make an effort to become a socialist.
Waste no time! Join our movement for Socialism.

Participanteverything everyone offers is reformism, hence against the SPGB principles, hence bad”

With respect. What reforms take priority? See the problem here?
Once you start making demands, reforms, Socialism ends up on the back burner.
Just to clarify, we support workers in regards to better wages, for example. However, we point out, that this can be a lifetime cycle of yearly effort…..
Re the last point. We say, rightly, such reforms are futile, something now nothing never. Are not in the interests of our class.
Nuclear weapons for example. The demand to ban them. When Capitalism’s class conflict, (not just capitalists vs workers) but Capitalists vs Capitalists erupts inevitably. Wars over trade routes, natural resources, land, sea and people to exploit. When such flair up, leading to the use of ‘nice’ conventional weapons, the use of is consequentially devastating for fellow workers.

ParticipantTo add, not sure which element of the LGBT ‘community’ argues this? But the call to get the ‘L’ out of LGBT is a give away?

ParticipantHi, there was a bit of discussion on the party’s Facebook page about gays. I didn’t read every post, as most replies were rather lengthy.
The article by JPS, Identity politics, was interesting. Only to add, a point missed, omitted, possibly not known by the author. As the whole issue is a case of moving the goalposts. What with the advent of women’s ‘professional’ football. Championed recently by the BBC, chiefly. No pun intended.
With the advent of artificial insemination, men wouldn’t be needed….
I was thinking in the bedroom department……but no, literally!

ParticipantThe Party hasn’t mentioned anything (yet) about the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall Inn clash with police, or LGBTQ+ Pride march. I’m looking forward to seeing something about this in the latest edition of the Socialist Standard?
Hope people had a great time at Glastonbury. Not much of a fan myself musically speaking. I replied to David Lammy Labour MP for Tottenham on Twitter. Regarding headliner @stomzy speaking out against injustice to young black kids being criminalised in a biased and disproportionate justice system.
Very pleased to hear the result of the EU South Eastern Region election campaign. Well done to everyone who gave their time and effort.

ParticipantDave, thanks.
Much appreciated.
As I quipped back at them, any publicity is better than being ignored. Which these attention seeking people want for themselves.
I stuck the boot in, metaphorically speaking, telling them to keep obsessing about the SPGB.

ParticipantHi, I’ve not been following the Election tbh. I’m on a site, where at least 3 people are engaged in constant vitriol and derision of the party and myself.
There’s an meme one user’s uses of Marx, it reads: liposuction clinics hate him because his central planning leads to guaranteed weigh loss.
Another mocks us that we got 117 votes in one election? This nutcase went to the trouble to look this up? He’s obviously delusional and obsessed.
I posted a tweet by our Twitter moderator, that shows how many interactions we get on Twitter, 1.5M in a month! Seems some loon went to the trouble to post what Twitter means by interactions! That people scanned, but not actually looked or engaged our tweets? He questioned how much of the interaction was trolling abusive? I replied: it was incredible response for very little effort. So, seeing that we got 3,505 votes is very encouraging and might shut these nutcases up!
I unfortunately took the decision to deleted my account in protest at these morons. I plan to go back soon, in incognito, to embarrass them, if the opportunity arises.

ParticipantThanks for this.
I have been told that the account is dominant.
No loss, we got in before Militant, with the Electoral Commission, thankfully.
If Militant, or whatever banner they call themselves stand candidates at Election time, they cannot use the Party name, Socialist Party.

ParticipantThis group are on my Twitter account page as suggestions to follow.
I was going to follow and tell them about this great news. Legally, we are registered as the Socialist Party with the Electoral Commission.
I just thought to report them instead. See what Twitter do?
I have informed Twitter about this group. I used the Party Email address.

ParticipantHi, Happy New Year all. Firstly I didn’t say it was a fake account, OP did. I took this at face value. My mistake. I have now re- followed this account.
I am now using a feature Twitter has. You can ‘protected your tweets.” Only people who follow you can view your tweets. So this means I no longer end up into the early hours, and days even weeks “debating” with hateful trolls.
My, AbolishWagesSys and the Party Twitter account were highly recommended to others by another user.
When you post a tweet, you can view your tweet activity, the number people who looked at your tweets, liked etc.
My best tweet of 2018, was on Diane Abbots MP, I got 400 ‘hits’, saying why is she in the Labour Party, a party of racism?
Max, is doing sterling work, one of his tweet got 379 likes, and another just almost 500 likes.
