ParticipantSanteria is African catholicism, and the Catholic Church called it witchcraft. Most ancient and modern religions are connected with the African religions. The Communist Party of Cuba supports Santeria.
Santería is a major Afro-Cuban religion, often considered a pillar of Cuban cultural identity, but it is not the only religion in Cuba. It originated from West African Yoruba traditions that blended with Spanish Roman Catholicism between the 16th and 19th centuries.
Syncretic Nature: Also known as La Regla de Ocha or La Religión Lucumí, it links West African deities, called orishas, with Roman Catholic saints.
Cultural Significance: Santería is often considered a “national religion”, reflecting the resilience of the Cuban spirit, and its roots are deeply tied to the Afro-Cuban community.
Beliefs & Rituals: It focuses on maintaining positive relationships with orishas for guidance and health through offerings and ceremonies.Widespread Practice: Despite previous government repression and historical stigma, it remains heavily practised in Cuba, including in homes, daily life, and in cities like Havana.
Global Spread: It has expanded beyond Cuba to the United States and other regions, particularly after the 1959 revolution. While it is a prominent, often defining faith on the island, other religions like Catholicism are also practised in Cuba, often side-by-side with Santería

ParticipantAt present, workers do not care about socialism; their main concern is to worship right-wing nationalist populist leaders.
They do not care if those leaders are criminals, thieves, xenophobic, racists, warmongers, or homophobic.
Even more, they are willing to lose their own social benefits.
It is pure masochism.
Marx never thought that the working class was going to support their own exploiters

ParticipantDonald Trump wants to turn Venezuela into the 51st state of the USA.
The so-called Bolivarian socialist revolution went up in smoke, and the pink wave is dying; workers are electing right-wing populist leaders

ParticipantMost religions and so called sacred books are based on violence, and they can be used by the ruling class to spread nationalism, bigotry, racism and xenophobia. Christians nationalists they do not care if they are electing gangsters, criminals, thieves, racists, or xenophobic candidates. The soviets used the orthodox church in order to spread patriotism among the Russians peasants during World War Two, and Stalin became the apostle of Jesus to finish the diabolical nazism and the other sides also used religion to bless tanks, warplanes, battleships, bombs, and soldiers

ParticipantWhen astronauts come back from space, they suffer from a lot of organ and muscle disorders, and their lifespan is shortened. Another illusion created by the profit system to expand airspace tourism
Astronauts face significant, sometimes permanent, organ health issues during spaceflight, including irreversible kidney remodelling due to cosmic radiation, a weakened and rounded heart, and severe vision changes caused by fluid shifts. Extended space travel, such as a mission to Mars, risks permanent, catastrophic damage to the kidneys.
Kidneys: Research indicates space travel can cause structural damage to kidneys, increasing the risk of stone formation and potential long-term, irreversible damage.
Heart and Cardiovascular: The heart shrinks and becomes more spherical in microgravity, making it less efficient. Arterial walls can stiffen, resembling accelerated ageing.
Eyes: Lack of gravity causes fluid shifts towards the head, putting pressure on the eyes and resulting in flattened eyeballs and visual impairment (neuro-ocular syndrome).
Bones and Muscles: Astronauts lose bone mass (roughlyper month) and suffer muscle atrophy because they are not needed for support in zero gravity, leading to “disuse osteoporosis” and weakened muscles.
Skin: The dry, controlled environment of the ISS can lead to accelerated skin thinning and dryness.
Immune System: The immune system weakens, and the body experiences reduced red blood cell production, known as anaemiaCiudadano Del Mundo

ParticipantState capitalism was more successful in Germany during the Nazis period than in the Soviet Union. Despite all the military advancements, the soviet union was still a backward country and was unable to compete with the Western powers and the USA. The late soviet leaders did want the establishment of market capitalism, and that was the reason why they did not put up much resistance during the collapse

Whose debt is it? Is it a national debt, or the debt of the capitalist class
US national debt surpasses the size of the economy, as the Trump administration demands a surge in military spending.

ParticipantIt also shows that men and women during that epoch were more likely to read books than in our times. Libraries look like dessert, and bookstores are going bankrupt; some fanatics want to burn books that nobody is reading, they are just getting dusty. They buy an expensive laptop to play video games and to read comic books. They are experts on communism, and they have not read anything about it

ParticipantIt is like an epidemic of “anti communist ” workers. That is the legacy left by the Soviets, which means that without them, socialism would have been in a much better state in our time. They are called ‘poor fascists’ by the Leninists
PS: “Facho” (often used in the plural “fachos” or “fachos pobres”) is a colloquial, pejorative Spanish term in Latin America (especially the Southern Cone—Argentina, Chile, Uruguay) for a fascist, a right-wing authoritarian, or someone who supports reactionary, anti-liberal, or far-right ideologies.
“Facho pobre” (literally “poor fascist”) is a specifically derogatory phrase used to describe a person with low socioeconomic status who holds far-right or conservative views that are seen as opposing their own economic interests, often associated with nationalism, elitism, or a desire for strict order.
Literal Meaning: Short for fascista (fascist).
Context: It is a slang, derogatory insult.
Characteristics: It often implies a person who is conservative, authoritarian, anti-left, and sometimes discriminatory towards foreigners or minorities.
“Facho pobre” connotation: Implies a cognitive dissonance or contradiction, where someone of limited means supports a ruling elite or policies that typically favour the wealthy.English Equivalents:
Fashy (derived from “fash,” short for fascist).
Right-wing nutjob (colloquial).
Reactionary/Authoritarian (formal).
Fascist pig (strong insult). When they elect the left-wingers, they are called heroes and progressive
