Trump seems to be saying that it was NATO’s bid to expand eastwards right up the Russian border by incorporating Ukraine that provoked the Russian invasion as the rulers of the Russian state regarded this as an existential threat.At least that is how his statement that the war would never have happened if he had been President on 2023 can be interpreted. In other words, he would have backed down in the face of Russian opposition and not insisted on Ukraine joining NATO.
Whether he would have done at the time is another matter. In any event, he is now saying that Ukraine shouldn’t join NATO, which is a shift from the position the rulers of the US took at the time. This could also be interpreted as admission by the US of the failure of its previous policy.

Donald Trump has also said that the US has had many unnecessary and unjust wars, but it is very had to believe or follow his statement because his flip flop from side to another side, from one stand to another stand.He promised to end all wars ( which can not be done by a president, only to control arm supplies ) but he continued the war in the Middle East, and he has continued certain policies established by Joe Biden . He knows that the USA has lost this war .
There was an America presidential candidate who wants to be friendly with the Soviet Union and avoid the proliferation of atomic weapons and he lost the nomination and a warmonger became president

The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska and the shift in American geostrategy
A calculated move made by Putin and Trump, each one is defending the interests of their own ruling class there is nothing about treason as some democratic leaders are shouting, they will do the same thing that was done during WW 2, they will split among each others the resources of Ukraine. Thousands of poor peoples from both sides have died and the spoils of wars will be collected by the capitalist class
No deal in Alaska between Putin and Trump. On his campaign said that he was going to find a deal within 24 hours by just making a phone call. It is not the same thing to make a deal with the small island of Saint Thomas, or Grenada than to make a deal with the Russian or Chinese empire
That conspiracy theory has been spread thru the third world countries ( Global South ) including Latin America, ironically, there are some Trotskyists and Leninist groups who also support that theory instead of supporting the socialist logic.
In regard to the backing of Israel to Russia, it is not new that capitalists have made temporary alliances in order to advance their own geopolitical interests, the western powers and the soviets made temporary alliance with the Nazis, the fascists, and the soviets, and then they became enemies.
The question is what are going to say those groups who support Russia against Ukraine, or vice versa, and the groups that support Iran against Israel ? That is the importance of taking an independent socialist stand
Both sectors of the US capitalist class have used the concept of the ‘Deep State” for their world hegemonic purposes, and at the present time the US ruling class does want not to lose completely its world hegemony which is being challenged by chinese capitalism.
These conspiracy theories are used in order to hide the struggles between capitalist groups, national and international fighting for their own class interests, and many workers without the proper political and economic orientation follow them. The capitalist class is not a secret family, shadow groups or secretive groups

The conspiracy theory of the the Deep State which has been completely debunked is older than the one that was emitted in Turkey in 1990, it started in 1960 with a book titled the Invisible governent.
As an article published by the Socialist party says that conspiracy theory are easier for many peoples because they have been created already and there is not need to use any independent thinking or logic, and there is not need to do any profound research to find the real truth

Why the USA government is not running the money printing machine ? They are looking for one trillion dollars in T bill to compensate for the downfall in taxation from the capitalist class
That is the point of the articles cited indicating that they are planning to modify the procedures of the nuclear codes, it means that a president can not just push the bottom and start a nuclear war. Noam Chomsky has indicated that a Russian high level general did not obey the order to start a war.
It is not so easy for Donald Trump to stay indefinitely in power, he has a lot of resistance and there are several mechanism to remove him. It can be done in countries like El Salvador which has very weak institutions. The case is different in advanced limited capitalist democracy .
Immigration is the only issue that he has at the present time and he has found a lot of resistance from the workers and from some sector of the capitalist class and the farmers too and with all the monetary resources that he has obtained, he has not been able to reach the same level of deportation of prior presidents,( including Obama who was called the deportee in chief ) and also Reagan tried to do the same thing and he was forced to signed an amnesty for the undocumented workers, market is stronger than any powerful president .

State repression has existed before the emerge of Fascism. and repression is not exclusive of the fascists, it existed during classical slavery. Economic nationalism is not the same as fascism, and it is not a new phenomenon either

Many years ago Engels wrote that the state is an apparatus used by the ruling class in order to repress and control the working class, and to represent the interest of the ruling class, and still millions of peoples believe that the state represents their interests and love to elect their own oppressors instead of taking over the society and manage it by themselves. The so called bourgeoise democracy is only a mockery
