The war now is taking place in the heart of what was, a century ago, the most emancipated of European regions, the Makhnovshchina Free Territory – an anarchist-communist stateless region in which workers and peasants had made for themselves the closest-to-real-socialism the conditions of time and place could render possible.
Now look at it. Nationalism, massive destruction, worker against worker at the behest of two opposing capitalist interests.

Maybe he really believes, and is thus ignorant, that he can “get in first” with his hypersonic WMDs. Even were that the case, and he could hit the globe with his entire arsenal before the US could respond (which he seems to believe), he and his would still die in a nuclear winter. Either way, there won’t any longer be any Russia in existence.
So it looks as though he is mad enough, even though he has children, and is prepared to take his chances in a nuclear winter.

Do the mass murderers really think they’ll be ok down in their bunkers, and what about their wealth, with all us proles dead and gone? How many of us do they propose taking underground with them, as their workers? And where will the resources be?
Russia keeps repeating threats of nuclear war and WW3. The US does not.
Isn’t this because Russia has nothing else to threaten with?
How seriously should we worry?The war will almost definitely pass on to Moldova next.
If NATO does push toward a Ukrainian victory, then surely Putin will lose his guarantee that Ukraine won’t join NATO?
People so naive still, governments too, that they would actually want to survive in the aftermath of a nuclear war, and are taking steps to that end!!!
