The European countries that were part of the Soviet empire almost immediately revealed, after 1989, that they have the most neo-Nazis and are more nationalistic than the rest of Europe. The hatred for Russia is stronger there than anywhere else.

The US has dropped allies in the past once they are no longer needed. Were that to be the case in the future with Zelensky, it wouldn’t be any different. They obviously still have a use for him.
I see socialism working regionally for most things, and globally only for things requiring the attention of all.
