With the conspiracists claiming the Dominion voting machines were fixed, the American government accuse Venezuela’s  voting machines were also fixed and have imposed sanctions against the manufacturer

The same technology also operates in Panama and Argentine so are their elections also a fraud. Pompeo won’t say.

Like Glasgow Rangers who previously refused to sign any player who was a Catholic, Beitar Jerusalem FC will not sign up Palestinian players and much of its support is racist and bigoted.

But now Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan has purchased a 50% stake in the club.

WSWS is a very useful and often well-researched website for such a small and insignificant party (The Socialist Equality Party who has David North as its leader), full of data and facts and some nice quotes.

Usually somewhere in the article you may be interested in is their link to their own original source which can be referred to if anyone is hesitant in directing others to a Trotskyist website.

Other than Trotskyism, another bias is its anti-official trade union position, so caution there also.

Actually, ALB, my chief concern is that i’m not going to lucky enough to be located in one of those countries with early access to the vaccine. I have read it will be mid-2021 for the mass roll-out and they will be locally manufactured , licensed  from AstraZeneca.

But i am in one of the countries that has a very low mortality rate. Only 60 deaths and unlike other less reliable statistics, i’m fairly sure it is an accurate figure. Masks were already popular before the pandemic due to traffic pollution. I’m impressed by the local health clinic coverage. Local health workers are regularly visiting the house to do diabetes and blood pressure tests.

However, i may not be on any medical lists being a foreigner…i may have to pay the full commercial price of a vaccine. And if it is near the price of anti-rabies shots which i recently had…it will be close to a 100 quid…so if you come across a vaccine effective at room temperature, mail me some.

The US military has warned US ships will “accept calculated tactical risks and adopt a more assertive posture in our day-to-day operations,” …calling China “the most pressing, long-term strategic threat”…the US Navy will also be more visible in the Pacific…it will “detect and document our rivals’ actions that violate international law, steal resources, and infringe upon the sovereignty of other nations”.

Here is an example of deluded thinking…that Chinese capitalism is unlike all others and is wholly beneficial to the world.

Robbo has expressed a similar view as your neighbour on this forum , Rod…and has chosen to wait while practicing current precautions …masks and distancing.

There will be a few who will suffer side-effects. That is inevitable but there will be no Thalidomide  effect, mostly minor symptoms

And there may be differing side-effects from the different vaccines.

If it had been Muslims appointed by Corbyn to oversee anti-islamophobia i can guarantee that the media headlines would be that Labour was being ruled by Sharia Law.

You mean they won’t be given squatters rights

Perhaps as Sue Townsend imagined her majesty being re-housed to a council estate, the occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue  and 10 Downing Street just as some of the Russian aristocrats in 1918 will find them sharing these homes with the homeless.

I recall someone i knew who worked for a housing association telling me that when the right to buy was introduced, his association moved junkies into the more desirable tenements to discourage other tenants who were thinking of buying.
