During the war in Iran and Afghanistan, they gave their support to Sadam Hussein and the Taliban because they were anti-imperialists, probably, this time they are going to give their support to the government of Iraq because they have asked the US troops to leave. My thoughts are that the use of sophisticate missiles fired from Iran itself is a warning that all US bases in the region (such as the 5th Fleet in Bahrain) could be targeted if need be.
Will the US let this go without a response? Is it sufficient revenge for Iran?

If Donald trump wants to be re-elected again he is not going to start a war with Iran. He might do it later because it looks that he is going to be re-elected and he is not going to be removed by the senate.

Yet another tragedy upon tragedy
From now on, they are going to blame everything on Iran, Mike Pence was also implying that the Iranians were part of the conspiracy for the 9/11 attack in New York.
The Western Powers, the USA, and Israel have always blamed their problem in somebody else, there are two possible scenarios, or the USA or Isreal shot down the aeroplane or the aeroplane had mechanical problem, indeed one of the inspectors of that plane said that it has more mechanical problem than the 737 Max and it was due to start to have accidents.
John Bernet who was forced to leave Boeing has been interviewed several times and he has said that it has hundred of defective parts, and he has published several articles on newspapers.
What about the American Airline commercial aeroplane who was shot down in Queens NY carrying hundred of Dominicans ? What about the Iranian aeroplane who was also shot down? , What about the Cuban aeroplane who was carrying a team of Cubans players? Has anybody heard the conversations of the pilots from the black boxes of 9/11 of New York and the Pentagon? There are many other aeroplanes accidents that have not been explained yet, or the real reasons for the accidents have not been explained. If this another Boeing accidents, pretty soon that corporation would go into complete bankruptcy and its place is going to be taken over by China
We should not forget how the USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian airliner, or how the Russians (or its allied militia) shot down Air Malaysia jet over Ukraine.
But this seems just too much of a coincidence to be just an accident. And it being a deliberate ploy of either US or Israel is to convoluted.
If I was searching for any conspiracy I would investigate the possibility that US electronic counter-measures put into action when its spy satellites spotted the ballistic missile launches confused Iranian ground to air-defence radar systems with the result a non-threat on their screens became a threat.
The pilots had radio communication with the tower and they said that the plane was not ascending and they were going to come back to the airport, and the aeroplane exploded in the air. A Korean aeroplane by mistake got into a Soviet military zone and it was shut down, and the soviet said that it was a spy plane equipped by the USA
They finally got there and admitted the cause was some trigger-happy military unit

Despite that human error, that type of aircraft has been reported as a future flying coffin, but Boeing is covering that because they are going to lose billions of dollars in profit
Another pretext for the USA and other Western Powers to start a war against Iran is the killing of 162 passengers in a commercial aircraft. When peoples are going to wake up and stop supporting their real enemies and end this criminal economical system? When peoples around the world are going to see the suffering that has been inflicted in the peoples of the Middle East for more than 100 years? When peoples around the world are going to be able to see that religion is a secondary factor in this conflict?
