ParticipantWell done Danny. If we keep reiterating the Socialist message, we will eventual crack the thick resinous skull of "pro-Capitalist" sentiment.I was talking to a guy I've known for a while, in Deneside WMC tonight and he informed me that, for all the years of the existence of The SPGB, we hadn't got very near reaching our goal. I informed him, first of all, that this goal, was not "for" the SPGB but in the best interests of "all" workers! We would blissfully talk our way into non-existence, to help bring about a society, based on production for use, not profit. I also told him, that, with every different variant the "Pro-Capitalist" parties had tried to make Capitalism work, they were even farther away than the SPGB in achieving their aims. Moreover, we did not have the benefit of the hundreds of billions spent on "pro-Capitalist" education, that inculcates kids in the ethos of this system! Nor did we control Newspapers, TV and Radio stations, whose role is to back up the "Ideological Hegemony" of the Capitalist Class! Don't worry, I explained what Ideological Hegemony is and meant. ParticipantComrades, time permitting we can also discuss a "face to face" meeting, at the forthcoming special meeting. Comrade Darrell Whitehead has suggested a talk or film might persuade members to attend, which it might well do! What do N.E. members think?

Participanttwc, I am afraid that, reading your posts, leaves me with the inescapable conclusion that you are pidgeonholing human beings as mere, "things", outside of a seperate consciousness of "humanness". Of merely being adjuncts to the system, rather than individual, self-aware, conscious, empathic, sympathetic, creatures. You seem to have transposed the unfeeling reality of Capitalism, to flesh and blood, thinking animals, that humans, most assuredly are. To have disregarded our ability to adapt, enthuse and create to, our circumstances and moreover to do this to the appaling situations our fellow humans find themselves in. In other words, you ignore our humanity and replace it with the manufactured, consciounceless artificiality that Capitalisms view of man would have us believe is reality.

ParticipantI use this and moreover, have tried to encourage others to do so. I would encourage members to post ideas for letters or longer articles. At the same time, look at the party blogsite and tell other members "your" ideas on articles on the blog site. If we all, as members, visited this site every day, at our earliest convenience, we could share, in quick time, ideas for "press releases" and letters. Get some of our ideas into the press for a change!

ParticipantHi Comrades, just thought I'd drop a line to say how impressed I am, with the activity of comrades in the run up to the Euro elections! Well done to all. It just goes to prove that even such a "relatively small party" can, with astute use of resources, have a fairly large impact. Keep it up and good luck : )

ParticipantExcellent news Adam. I will most definitely be taping this on my Sky+ box. I look forward to seeing the finished version. Well done to all involved!

ParticipantIrish comrades, sorry for stealing ur fecking thunder : )

ParticipantI wish comrades would get over themselves! So much hard work and endevour already expended, yet still bitching unabated! WTF is going on?I think the image, on post 59, posted by Adam, is what I remember and brings a sense of closure and inclusion to the Movement. The logo isn't outdated, nor does it represent, "half the world"! For goodness sake, what do you want, a 3D image? One name, one logo, one fecking world, how difficult is that to comprehend? Now pass the fecking JD : )

ParticipantAdam, Have we contacted the LSE in the past and offered "our" services, in this regard? If so, what has been the response?
