Tommy Sheridan "a "dyed in the wool" Socialist  of old socialist traditions", you really think so duncan? because I don't and neither do my Scottish comrades. The same goes for the pro Capitalist, pro business SNP!Sheridan doesn't advocate Socialism, he advocates a society where he is one of the "Leaders". The SNP don't advocate Socialism, they are advocates of the Capitalist system, only with them in charge.A quick clue; Salmond wanted to keep the Pound as the Scottish medium of exchange. Socialists want to scrap all types of exchange, and have a Society based on the common ownership and democratic control of the means of producing and distributing the things we need to live.As we all contribute freely to make the things we, as humans, need to live, we will all take freely of this production, without the artificial constraints of a monetary or exchange system!!!

Chomsky for me, has done fuck all for the revolutionary movement for Socialism! Brand, whether one agrees or disagrees, has put "Revolution" on the agenda. It is up to us "piss ants" to explain what "revolution" is, and where we want it to lead to! Nee bother! you think? The doors ajar, put our fucking boot in it and push it open, all the way. Any revolutionary takers?

Really?  Are you sure about that?   What about the member your branch recently expelled?  Didn't he qualify for 'forgiveness'?The matter which "Comrade gnome" refers to, has not even appeared before the EC. How can we have, "expelled" anyone?Do you know about the case gnome. Are you trying to elicit, succeeding to elicit, a desired response? Otherwise known as "trolling"!!! Why not leave the NERB motion for the January EC to decide upon?If you know the outcome now, how do you? Please gnome, desist from your uncomradely and uncharitable posts. I have a copy of this, in case it is deleted.

At least we don't have the problem of Brand, "Branding" his ideas as Socialism/Communism!

Darren, there is no free reign for Brands statements from most people on here! What we are saying is, that Brands forays into the medium of "revolution" gives an "in" in so many peoples perceptions of the realities of "their own lives". What we, as a party must do, is use this door that has been opened and stick our size 16 boot, in the door and keep it open!!!Brand has provided the fertile ground (I hope), now we need to nurture it.

Well Alan, Vin, you've certainly got my support and I will certainly back Vin at the Branch meeting, this Friday. This is something we "should" be making our presence felt at!.

Disappointed with this programme. A fairly sympathetic audience for anyone who had something to say on social inequality and the disparity of impact of austerity on rich and poor but clearly, no one had the nouse to pull the trigger. One could also have drawn a corallary with the unfair bias towards the panel, compared with the passing comments of the audience, and the farce that passes for democracy in Capitalism. "Representative Democracy", is an Oxymoron!Farage, as well as the other panellists, were lined up like ducks at a shoot and one did'nt even need sights to pick them off but no one hit the mark, Brand included!!!

This is all "bilgewater", there are no, nor can there be, guarentees, that there will be groundwater polution  due to U.C.G. As I've tried to explain to posters before, re "Fracking", there can be "no guarentees", that there will be no environmental despoilation due to the former nor, now, to the latter! Do people actually have any comprehension of the pressures involved at even 1000 feet? Snap wooden pit props like kindling, twist metal supports like so much candy floss! Joe Davison, an ex Miner, has seen at first hand, the effects at "the coal face" so to speak!Talk of putting sheathes around fracking sites and now, by extension, sites of, not underground but "underwater" coal gassification, are merest science fiction. If these people convince enough folk, at a time when it is not viable, scientifically, nor physically, that they can do these things then, when it all goes shit-faced and it will, it will be "we", who will suffer, our betters can just "fuck off" to a different and unpolluted part of the world. We, who produce everything but, because of "our" lack of control of "our" environment and "our" very lives, will be left to suffer the consequences, will be "fucked"!!!So fellow Socialists, look and at the sub strata stresses involved at even, !000 feet below ground and tell me and our fellow workers, that you are comfortable with the obfuscation, smoke and mirrors and outright lies, of "our" betters? !!!

I hope that any members attending, tell the attendant audience not only how the strike and future strikes should be organised but how we should organise so "strikes" are a a thing of the past. Anyway, what the fuck am I on about, we should'nt be telling strikers anything about how strikes should have been, or should be organised, we should "only" be telling them about a society, that makes "strikes", totally pointless, unnecessary and irrelevant!!!Power to the people.

Okay, so rebuttal wasn't the correct wording but the thought is correct. We talk of "the administration of things" but Talley appears to believe we will still need "the administration of people" and from the way he talks, it's for "our own good". That would presumably need those, "without weaknesses", to sort this out. Just like the Leninists of the Russian revolution. So once again, it would appear our "betters" need to be there to guide us.Hopefully, Talley is not talking about resource management by some "new elite" of Technocrats!
