Yes and Yahoo! out political dissidents to the Chinese government and we use Yahoo! for internal communications.Facebook help rig general elections but we even link to them on our website. As far as I know, all capitalist companies exploit workers, factories are physically hard work and supermarkets break up trade unions. Tech companies have some particular egregious practices, but Amazon hasn't rigged general elections or outed political dissidents.

Is she now jumping on the anti-semitic bandwagon for the same purpose?Am i being anti-semitic for accusing her of climbing the greasy pole?

Berger was not just a member of Labour Friends of Israel, but the chair.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1247403/Labour-war-Blair-sons-glamorous-friend-chosen-safe-seat.htmlShe was also first selected as candidate in 2010, having stayed at the home of the then-incumbent MP, Jane Kennedy, who was also her predecessor as chair of Labour Friends of Israel.http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2010/02/05/royle-family-star-ricky-tomlinson-could-run-for-parliament-in-liverpool-wavertree-100252-25766877/I don't know if she is a Zionist now, but it ought to be pretty clear, she was certainly prepared to be associated with Zionism when it suited her as an aspiring MP. As for anti-semitism, she has reported being the victim of this back in 2005.

It would seem socialist opposition to abstinence or temperance goes back a long time. In the 1890s 'Britain's first Marxist' Harry Quelch debated against a spokesperson from a temperance movement, movements which were quite popular at the time. The debate was published as a pamphlet under two titles.Would Universal Total Abstinence Reduce Wages? Quelch vs National Independent Temperance Society (1904)alsoLiquor MunicipalisationI cannot find either online but I did findhttps://www.marxists.org/archive/quelch/1908/06/bootsbeer.htm

    Quote:
Thus we have, just now, the crusade against the public-house. This is carried on not merely with a view of promoting temperance and suppressing drunkennness, but also with the idea, in many minds, that it would improve the material position of the working class. … Those who recognise that the workers are robbed, and are poor because they are robbed, are not misled by any ridiculous nonsense of this sort.

Perhaps the World Socialist Party of India could republish Quelch's anti-temperance debate.
