These were not hollow gestures. Real diplomatic capital was being spent. Iranian officials floated proposals designed to meet US political realities – including potential access to energy sectors and economic cooperation. These were gestures calibrated to allow Donald Trump to present any deal as tougher and more advantageous than the 2015 agreement he withdrew the US from in May 2018. Tehran appeared to understand the optics Washington required, even if contentious issues such as ballistic missiles and regional proxy networks remained outside the immediate framework. Then, in the middle of these talks, the bridge was shattered.

The capitalist Supreme Court of the US considered Trump’s tariff ilegal, but they left the door open for him to impose tariffs again using another legal clause. Trump is not the only one who has imposed tariffs; Joe Biden also imposed tariffs on several countries and several commodities,s including Chinese cars.
The tariff is a clear indication of what Marx, Ricardo and SPGb have said that the state is financed with surplus value, it is not financed by the working class.

The economic dependency continues to exist while most of the third-world countries continue borrowing money from the International Monetary Fund, and they continue paying the old debts with new debts, or asking for a moratorium to pay the debts, or just to pay the interest without making payments to the principal of the debts
Some countries have imposed their own dependency on other countries. For example, Venezuela created a new dependency with Petro Caribe, which imposes its own financial requirements to export petroleum; they labelled it international socialist cooperation, and they created Banco Del Sur, which, in some way take the job of the IMF.
To pay those monetary or service debts, the governments must impose austerity plans on the working class. The mono crop production has been eliminated, but the exploitation of the working class has continued in higher level, and more diversified production, and they are producing more surplus value
He is already saying, if he can’t tax the rich class, he is going to tax he middle class, but which middle class ? The middle class does not exist, probably he means the working class, but the state is an institution financed with surplus value.
