Just general remarks and i won't switch accounts and post as Mod2 It is not the task of moderators job to double-guess posters intentions and to determine motives. But it seems we are expected to do detective-work. I personally and very quickly made my response known to an uncomradely remark to a fellow-member. i don't think anyone really should be rejoicing the possible exit of any member of the Party, particularly with our declining numbers.It is also especially disappointing that someone who has only been a user of the forum for only just a couple of days and, therefore, missed the many contributions from the comrade that weren't disruptive but supportive of the Party should adopt such a jubilant attitude.
Is that why they are called leaflets.Any old excuse is used when you aren't interested in reading the contents. I recall during Make Poverty History, a couple of the anarchist Black Bloc declining our free Socialist Standards because we were old.
Indeed a good point to point out And i think we, too, should also adopt this disclaimer as standard practice for inclusion in our election leaflets which are going to be delivered house-to-house. Maybe it could actually feature as the headline of one of our leaflets rather than the small-print.
I've always admired the writings and speeches of Eugene Debs but i sadly acknowledge that he was a minority in the Socialist Party of America and that that the prevailing influence and direction were people like Victor Berger.Jondwhite provided a link to when the SPA was indeed becoming a force to be reckoned worth in American electoral politics.
