LT. He may well do but if the SCOTUS does do his bidding, just what political ramifications will this have for the Democrat supporters if not only does Biden win the popular vote again but also the Electoral College and that Trump’s claim on victory is based only on alleged fraud?

I don’t think we are talking about a coup but actual possibility of civil war.

So would Wall St insist for the sake of the stock-market stability, that Biden swallows it and accept a SCOTUS verdict that he lost.

Or would Wall St refuse to accept the legitimacy of a Trump Presidency if the protesters filled the streets only to be met by the armed militias.

Once again, i think it is the result of the Electoral College which will determine who wins regardless of Trump blaming defeat on fraud.

He’ll save that for his guaranteed best-seller ghost-written memoirs and as the future political platform for one of his children to stand against Harris in 2024.

SCOTUS will fall in line regardless of their Republican bias. The alternative is too stark even for them.

If Trump loses the popular vote again but wins the Electoral College again, Democrats will whine but won’t reject the outcome of another 4 more years of Trump.

Any idea of abolishing the Electoral College is moonshine. Do you know that despite Congress approval, the women’s ERA Amendment is still not passed after half a century? What chance getting rid of the Electoral College.

Leaked docs expose massive Syria propaganda operation waged by Western govt contractors and media

    How our news is decided.

UK government contractors developed an advanced infrastructure of propaganda to stimulate support in the West for Syria’s political and armed opposition.

Virtually every aspect of the Syrian opposition was cultivated and marketed by Western government-backed public relations firms, from their political narratives to their branding, from what they said to where they said it.

UK-funded PR firms produced their own propagandistic pseudo-news for broadcast on major TV networks in the Middle East, including BBC Arabic, Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, and Orient TV.

A joint operation with the Ministry of Defence and the Department for International Development to support “strategic communications, research, monitoring and evaluation and operational support to Syrian opposition entities.”

The UK FOC stated clearly that this campaign consisted of “creating network linkages between political movements and media outlets,” by the “building of local independent media platforms.”

Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli has made it clear that should the fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh spread to Iranian soil, his country would react. Tehran wants to prevent the conflict from spilling over into Iran.

USA is moving ahead with three sales of advanced weaponry to Taiwan, and has sent notification of the deals to Congress for approval,

Reuters reported that as many as seven major weapons systems were making their way through the US export process.

Notifications were for a truck-based rocket launcher made by Lockheed Martin Corp called a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), long-range air-to-ground missiles made by Boeing Co called SLAM-ER, and external sensor pods for F-16 jets that allow the real-time transmission of imagery and data from the aircraft back to ground stations.

Notifications for the sale of other weapons systems, including large, sophisticated aerial drones, land-based Harpoon anti-ship missiles and underwater mines, to deter amphibious landings, have yet to reach Capitol Hill, but these were expected soon

Police in Belarus have been authorised to use lethal force if necessary against anti-government protesters.

Belarusian authorities have been accused of brutality and torture in their suppression of the mass street protests.

On Monday, the interior ministry confirmed police fired stun grenades and tear gas during an unauthorised rally in the capital, Minsk, which involved a large number of pension-age protesters. A spokesperson said action was taken after “citizens started to show aggression”. An unconfirmed number of demonstrators were also arrested.

    “The sea-ice is dying,”

“The region is at risk. We were able to witness how the ice disappears and in areas where there should have been ice that was many metres thick, and even at the North Pole – that ice was gone,” the Alfred Wegener Institute scientist told a media conference in Bremerhaven on Monday.

WHO chief condemns herd immunity policy

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-54518286

“Herd immunity is achieved by protecting people from a virus, not by exposing them to it,” he said. “Never in the history of public health has herd immunity been used as a strategy for responding to an outbreak, let alone a pandemic. Letting Covid-19 circulate unchecked therefore means allowing unnecessary infections, suffering and death,”

Chomsky and the fear of Trump

Noam Chomsky: Trump Is Willing to Dismantle Democracy to Hold On to Power

The “law and order” appeal is normal, virtually reflexive. Trump’s threat to refuse to accept the result of the election is not. It is something new in stable parliamentary democracies.

Certainly the polls now indicate a comfortable win for Biden but be ready for a winter of very much discontent.

The pandemic financial measures offered by Trump has been rejected by Pelosi which means if he loses, he won’t care about softening the economic effects of the pandemic and it will be late January before Biden can implement any policies and so workers will be without any compensation whatsoever through the winter.

Apparently the same thing happened when Hoover lost and FDR had not taken over and there was genuine hardships. So this may be another time that working people will become very desperate, indeed.

I wouldn’t like to predict what might happen but i do think the right and the left will polarise even more…and it is difficult to reason with a very hungry person who is suffering.

a Biden victory in November is unlikely to halt the slide towards a new cold war…the Democrats will be more able, and perhaps more willing, to build an international anti-China alliance that would further sour Sino-American relations. People everywhere ought to be profoundly worried at such a prospect.
