KeymasterAlways coming with a great bunch of caveats, the website Grayzone offers a very different coverage than the mainstream media

KeymasterScenes from Georgia in support of Ukraine. Not surprising since they too were attacked by Russia in 2008 and have a breakaway republic, South Ossetia, on its doorstep
#Prague tonight, during #Zelenskyy’s video link address to European cities.
Freedom, EU solidarity and peace.
Unbreakable, unshakable, and utterly beautiful.

KeymasterZelenskyy is determined to spread the war into a European one by demanding a NATO imposed No-Fly zone over Ukraine. Yet the media won’t describe him as a war-monger.

KeymasterLost in all this media coverage is any news from the pretext of the war, the DPR and LPR breakaway republics.
This Australian news story is one of the few accounts and expresses the power of propaganda fed to them
And from Al Jazeera
And from Russian government TASS

And an example of war propaganda we won’t read here

KeymasterIt is a cliche, ALB, but truth is the first casualty of war.
We fully accept that there are atrocities and war crimes committed in a war. We fully admit war is brutal and dehumanising.
Yes, war can bring out the best in people, the empathy and solidarity but it also brings out the worse, cruelty and callousness.
People don’t like to think of themselves as pawns in a power struggle but that is what they are.
This is why we oppose capitalism the harbinger of inhumanity.
Sentimental sympathy and sorrow, won’t end wars.

The Israeli government has called on Ukrainian Jewish refugees to immigrate to Israel and removed bureaucratic hurdles to secure their arrival as quickly as possible.
“We call on the Jews of Ukraine to immigrate to Israel – your home,” Israel’s Ministry of Immigration and Absorption said
Israel is keen on bringing in Ukrainian Jewish refugees for the purpose of maintaining Jewish demographic “supremacy”.
The World Zionist Organization’s Settlement Division announced the building of 1,000 housing structures for Ukrainian Jewish families in both Israel and settlements in the illegally occupied Palestinian territories.

KeymasterWe had talked about the risk to Ukraine’s nuclear power staions previously and the possibility of a potential catastrophe being narrowly avoided has just been brought home to us
https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-60532634
Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, is on fire. Mayor Dmytro Orlov of nearby Enerhodar says the fire was caused by “continuous enemy shelling” The International Atomic Energy Agency had called on all sides to stop any fighting near the plant.
Lucky for all of us, the fire has not affected the vital operating equipment and a nuclear melt-down was averted.
A close call, though.

The problem of reports of disaffection within the Russian army is difficult to verify but I also think any reports that claim it exists and is spreading should be shared.
Probably more effective is that key Russian industries are exposing the backlash to war
Russia’s second-largest oil producer Lukoil is calling for an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
In a statement on its website, the company said it was concerned by the “tragic events in Ukraine” and supported the negotiations to end the conflict.
Its board called for “the immediate cessation of the armed conflict and fully supports its resolution through the negotiation process and through diplomatic means”.
Putin can ignore the man and woman in the street but when his business leaders are openly against the war, it shows the divide that is widening

Will such claims drag China into the conflict?
