KeymasterJeremy Corbyn still retains a loyal base within the Labour Party yet exactly the same as Bernie Sanders in the Democratic Party declines to organise them as an independent party.
In doing so, both reinforce the delusion that these are workers’ parties and deserve support.
Neither Corbyn nor Sanders are principled enough to desert the party machine. (albeit Corbyn has lost the whip)

KeymasterNot only is it the arms trade taking advantage of the war to increase profits.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the fossil fuel industry for trying to use Russia’s war on Ukraine to boost polluters’ profits at the expense of the global climate and all life on Earth.
“Fossil fuel interests are now cynically using the war in Ukraine to try to lock in a high carbon future,” Guterres tweeted. “A shift to renewables is crucial to mending our broken global energy mix and offering hope to millions suffering climate impacts today.”

KeymasterNo doubt there will be a bi-partisan agreement with the Republicans fully on board, supporting Biden. No money to cancel student debt, no money for Build Back Better but plenty of cash for a proxy war.

KeymasterMore than 6,400 civilians were killed by the military and falsely passed off as enemy combatants between 2002 and 2008.
“We murdered innocent people, farmers,” former soldier Néstor Gutiérrez told relatives of victims. “I executed, I killed the relatives of those who are here.” The former soldier recalled how he had lured civilians “through lies and deceit” to the places where he had “shot them, cruelly killing them”.
“I placed weapons on them to suggest it had happened in combat, that they were guerrilla fighters. I sullied their name and that of their family,” he said of the practice of upping the army’s “kill rate” by passing off civilians as rebels to give the impression it was winning the armed conflict against the group.
“I robbed children of their fathers and parents of their children.”

Keymaster“coal’s last gasp is not yet in sight”, despite countries agreeing at the Cop26 UN climate summit last November to a “phase down” of coal.
The continuing use of coal comes despite ever starker warnings from scientists in the latest assessment by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which concluded that the world would far exceed the 1.5C limit without rapid reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

KeymasterLab-grown meat or ground-up insects could lead to big savings in carbon emissions and water, as well as freeing up land for nature. Pressures on the planet could fall by more than 80% with such foods, compared with the typical European diet, while providing a more complete range of essential nutrients than a purely vegetarian or vegan diet.
