ParticipantEven more the Mexicans are not illegal immigrants either ( a term codified in 1965 ) There are not any hornbook or casebook before that date using that term
According to historical records, people of Mexican descent have been inhabiting the North American continent for thousands of years, with evidence of early settlements dating back to at least 10,000 years ago, primarily in the regions that are now considered Mexico and the southwestern United States; meaning Mexicans have been present in the North American continent for millennia.
As the Mexican say: We did not cross the border, the border crossed Mexico, and Mexico extended itself from the south to north western of the North American continent, also known as the mythical aztlan nation. Both continents were known as Abya Ayala, thousands of years before Amerigo Vespucci
The original treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo says in one of its clauses, that the Mexican were allowed to choose two citizenships and they were allowed to cross the border whenever they want to cross the border
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amerigo_Vespucci He was a fraud, as well the name Americas is a fraud
The Gulf of Mexico is estimated to be around 300 million years old. The Gulf’s formation was a result of plate tectonics and the breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea. The Caribbeans islands were formed by the movement of tectonic plates thousands of years ago, those are the tectonic plates that produced the earthquakes in Haiti

ParticipantWhich is why capitalism likes to say, with Henry Ford, that “history is bunk.”
And history is increasingly dumped from education and devalued. Meanwhile conspiralunatic “history” programmes are given mainstream air space on television and in book catalogues.
And the workers concur, because history holds no interest for them.
Nationalism, faced with real knowledge of history, cannot stand.

ParticipantThe inter capitalist frictions already have started. Some countries in Latin America have rejected the landing of US military airplanes carrying emigrants and they were sent back, and Trump has imposed tariff on Colombia.

————————————————————————————–
In this statement from the Natives Americans: North, South and Central America, they are providing support to the emigrants and they see a parallelism between them and the emigrants. They are saying that nobody is illegal on stolen lands. They are already again persecuting the Apaches, and Navajos

ParticipantMore struggles between the capitalists for world market, more import duties, in this case on semiconductors. Mexico is also building a big factory of semiconductors and a big factory on electric cars from China from BYD which is the biggest competitor of Tesla

ParticipantIt is pathetic that more than 77 millions workers approved all these nonsenses against other workers, and against the poor workers to satisfy the needs of the rich class. This type of movement is spreading thru the whole world
It was known in advance that all these actions were going to take place, and more are coming, but many workers have apathy and they do not care, and the so called opposition is practically dead
They are just testing to see how far they can violate all the constitutional precedents, to violate all the so called laws, they are going to eliminate all the reforms that were obtained during the civil rights movement, showing that the legal system is like toilet paper
Karl Marx over estimated the taking of class consciousness by the world working class, in our time millions of workers are supporting their own exploiters, in my entire life I had never seen anything like this before.

Absolutely spot on! I have never seen circumstances quite so dire as the present tbh. It’s almost like a kind of delirious masochism that workers have succumbed to. The capitalist left wing are partly responsible for this state of this but I think primarily what we are seeing is a kind of Stockholm Syndrome being manifested on an huge scale. Its sickening seeing workers identifying with the likes of Trump and Musk who clearly couldn’t give a flying f··k about them and you just have to pay a visit to Twitter/X to see this happening all the time. So depressing it makes me want to cancel my account there.
This relentless focus on the individual – the Great Man theory – is deeply disturbing and regressive. It’s like in olden times when the wellbeing of society was ideologically bound up with the wellbeing of the monarch. When you beheaded the head of state society was supposedly reduced to running around like a headless chicken LOL
The Right is rampant in many parts of the world now, and growing stronger, but at some point, the see-saw of capitalist politics is going to kick in and we will probably see a movement in the opposite direction – towards Leftist populism again (of which Bernie Sanders and Jeremey Corbyn were perhaps, abortive examples).
Historically, I guess revolutionary socialism has tended to fare better in a social climate where Leftist thinking was more dominant even though we are fundamentally opposed to left-wing capitalism as such. Of course, Starmer´s Anti-Labour Party are not in any way Left-wing and you might still see a further shift to the Right in the form of the Reform Party. But elsewhere maybe not. Maybe the workers will eventually see through the fraud of right-wing politics with its familiar themes such as anti-immigration and so on but let’s hope they also learn from the lessons of the Left´s past failures as well should it regain some influence.
In that case, I wonder how the cause of revolutionary socialism will fare? Grim though the present may be, maybe there is hope for the future, after all ….

Yes, it will. Of that we can be sure.

ParticipantTrollope said the more deprived and wretched the poor are, the more they fawn and snivel before the wealthy.
The most reactionary and nationalistic people I’ve met have also been of the lumpenproletariat.

——————————————————————
With the new anti communist wave that is emerging now, we must be careful, many workers are the first ones that are supporting the capitalist class
———————————————————-
The best example is Argentina. a country with a large tradition of working class struggles, a lot of leftwing organizations of all kind of tendencies including anarchists, many socialists theoreticians, socialists bookstores, workers who have taken over factories, workers who opposed brutal dictatorships, military juntas, tortures, but workers put aside all those struggles and fell in the trap of the so called anarch capitalists, and all the social democrats reforms have been reversed,( it was the same situation in Brazil.) It is pure masochism and they knew the consequences and now the whole society is suffering the consequencesOn several occasions I saw workers electing carpenters, bricklayers, tailors, and masonry workers as senators, majors, and governors, and the candidates of the rich class were completely rejected, and the youngsters had more advanced conceptions, most young peoples were reading Marx and Engels, now the situation is the opposite, there are not any serious discussions, too much ideological emptiness, they are reading comics books, in the USA they are reading the collected works of Donald Trump
The same left-wingers prepared the conditions or paved the way for the emerge of the right wingers reactionary, and workers have rejected them completely, but now they are coming back again to elect the same old groups, it is like a clock pendulum, oscillation from one side into another without any solutions, without any new road, and there is a better alternative which is socialism.
Years back rightwingers need tanks, rifles, and coup d’etats in order to take control of the state, and there was a great opposition against them, now easily they are elected and they have a large support within the ranks of the working class, and they do not care if they are criminals, oligarchs, , crooks or anti workers, they are welcome, as long as the are racists, xenophobic, nationalists and anti establishment, but the real establishment is capitalism and they do not oppose capitalism either
Workers act in a much better way when the left-wingers have prevailed within the whole society and they do not have too much anti communist sentiments like in the USA, where communism is like a capital sin, and now is even worse than before, and even more, workers are willing to denounce peoples with certain leftwing conception, it is a dangerous situation, many lumpenproletariat are dangerous. Personally, I am very careful with them

ParticipantAt every working class demonstration and protest, anywhere in the world, you will see them carrying the flag of the nation.
This is harder to break than anything else; harder even than calling for the abolition of money (which everyone laughs at anyway).Their identification with “the nation” has a greater hold on them than anything else. They are so brainwashed with it that it is far worse than any religion. Indeed, it is everyone’s religion, and national flags are their holy ikons. Dare to tell anyone among them that the “nation” needs to be chucked, even the most “radical”, the most leftist, and you become hateful to them.

Participant“At every working class demonstration and protest, anywhere in the world, you will see them carrying the flag of the nation.”
I’ve seen many protest marches and trade union picket lines in the UK. The union jack or any of the national flags appears very rarely. The opposite of *every* time in fact. Stop talking shite.
February 1, 2025 at 6:19 pm #256527DJP
ParticipantThe workers at a frozen food factory opposite me have been on strike for three or four months now. The only flag I ever see is the Unite the Union one. If the national flags where to come out it would be a bit of a menagerie. The workers there originate from all over the world. The same as in most work places of that size in the UK.
