ParticipantNigel Farage admitted on tv, that it was a mistake for Brexit to claim that an extra £350 million a week could be spent on the N.H.S.Conservative Cabinet member, Chris Grayling allegedly said that Brexit will allow a "much more managed" immigration system. In the light of these misleading statements, is there any legal reason for a precedent to be set for the Remain camp to call for a rerun ?

ParticipantTim, you have handled the minutes well, as far as I can see (and I read all 32 pages in the wee small hours.).Not much business, but lots of maneuvering
northern light
ParticipantThanks for that, Tim. One small correction needed. S.Davison missed voting on the Form F's. So it should read, 3 for, 2 abstained and 1 against.

ParticipantMy appologies, Lindanesocialist,

ParticipantThat is a very good version, Vin. Thanks, I will add it to my list of, "music worth listening to."Let me counter your, "Disturbed; The Sound of Silence," with my opening gambit of, " Hazel O'connor's; Eighth Day."Not as good as your choice, but it is all I can thihk of at short notice. I am unable to" post and copy" for some unknown reason. The meaningful line is, " He said, behold…… what I have done."

ParticipantVin, I most certainly do not prefer to send my bank details via email. You can send a cheque, postal order, or even cash in a registered envelope. As for receipts, you have already provided an ample record of your cash transactions in post #295 on this thread. I have never doubted your integrity.I wish you well, joe davison

Participant[ quote Tim Kilgallon ] "joe I think if you re read # 295 it is not written in anomosity, but can be interpreted in a friendly and comradely way." [ unquote ] Tim, I have not been a Party member for too long, so I am obviously not as aquainted with Party protocol as your good self.Nevertheless, I am under the opinion that a retiring Branch Secretary should return any" cash in hand" to the Branch Treasurer, along with reciepts of cash spent. It follows therefore, that it is up to the Branch Treasurer, in fulfilling his duty to Branch members, to request any monies held to be handed over. Failure to do so would mean the Branch Treasurer would be in remiss of his duty Like I said, I have not been in the Party that long, but I am keen to learn. So, can you point me to where the rules state that a retiring Branch secretary should send Branch funds held by him direct to Head Office ?Talking about Branch funds, it is now May and not one Branch member has donated so much as a shekel, or a brass farthing towards the running of the Branch. I do not expect members who are on benifits to give anything, but some members are in work

ParticipantMr. Maratty, during one of my attempts at making you see reason, I said something along the lines of, " it takes a big man to hold out the hand of friendship and say he is sorry." I still hold to that statement But just 19 minutes before you posted your attempt at reconciliation ( #296), you posted this #295. I see no big man holding his hand of friendship. Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

Participantquote; "tell you what I don't envy the new secs job of writing up these minutes." That reminds me, the retiring secretary holds (in his own words) " about £50 " of Branch money which he kept as cash in hand, for postage and such. You can send a cheque to me, j.b. davison, at my address, which you have. Thankyou.

ParticipantWell Forum members, I guess that's the weekend's entertainment over. Don't forget to tune in next month for the next episode of,"a right cockup." goodnight all.
northern light
ParticipantIt's a shame, S.P. because I might have had some business, but, It is not important. It will keep.
northern light
ParticipantIf the vacating Chairman did not close the meeting, is this meeting still accepting Branch business?
northern light
ParticipantYou are one lucky man.
