Most tries, from in the WSM Forum, were this morning, perhaps around 10-11. The original attempt, from my inbox, was Friday, midday or beyond, but not far.

Ta for replying. Well, it was a 'campaign to raise the minimum wage' thread, originating from someone's post of some of 'Lowell B.Denny's writing, i think. The only thing that might be wrong, was i was pasting into the reply space. A problem? I have managed to post, previously, no problems. Tried via various of the 'reply' buttonns, on WSM Forum, as well as, originally, from the reply tab and 'reply via web-post' tabs in my own inbox. (hotmail).

Both Labour and Tories want an end to the welfare system as we currently recognise it, as it is a tax burden. So subsidising disabled workers is defeating the object. Unless it means they can make more savings by removing various disability payments from  the subsidised disabled workers.I mean, does anyone seriously believe that these…err…people… have the interests of the disabled population of this country at heart?

I guess it boils down to individual employers currently having to shoulder the 'burden' (on profits) of a disabled worker, say, not being as productive as some other worker they could be employing, whilst still having to pay out the same, say Minimum wage, to either. So, to aid the profitabality of individual employers, and while the Employing Class as a whole still has to shoulder the 'burden' of the Minimum wage, and everyone having the 'right to work' (ie individual employers can't just pay their disableds in line with their perceived productivity, and can't just exclude them entirely, either) that burden should be shifted to the Employers as a whole, ie be paid thru' general taxation of the class as a whole. If that makes sense?

A very useful post, summarising a long and difficult thread and perhaps saving some from having to wade through it's needless complexities. As many noted from near it's start, LBird had nothing new to say, and what he did say was often unneccessarily confused, over-wordy and long-winded. He has shown confusion about the process and development of science and the meaning of certain modern developments in it. He confuses expertise with elitism. He could have got us where he was heading in a page, but i think he likes being centre-stage, playing the great new prophet… He has been obsequious when agreed with, and obnoxious when opposed. The only democratic demand that is needed is in the 'economic' sphere of ownership and control – everything else will  follow on naturally, after the fact.

I'm getting 'an error occurred while downloading the file' from Young Master Smeet's link above.

Looks like they've picked up on it, as the mistake has been corrected above . Although, that's not necessarily true, is it? When i made my post, i thought i was telling them – but i was only telling anyone reading the post, here, i now realise!

As for posting a selection to the WSM Home page, with the time from posting,  it makes us look 'busy', 'on the ball' as it were. Think there may be an error there at present, however, as the 'Plenty for All' article appears in full. Maybe it's intended, but i don't think there's a need for full articles on that Home page.
