Quote:
On Saturday 28 September a group of friends will be visiting the Red House, the home of late 19th century artist, designer, ecologist and revolutionary socialist activist William Morris.
You can read more about the Red House here.
And you can read more about William Morris' politics here.
At 1pm, we'll be doing a tour of the Red House (which costs £6.20 per person – if you're hard up and don't think you can afford let us know), then looking round the grounds, having some food and having some political discussion about the significance of Morris. (Exact plans depend on the weather.)
Kids very welcome.
We'll post plans for transport soon. Trains from London Bridge to Bexleyheath take about 25 minutes so the aim is to get one about 12 noon and people can get on at other stops too. At Bexleyheath it's a fifteen minute walk to the Red House.
AWL also ask What sort of socialist was William Morris here
