This is the opinion of another leftist group on the USA debt ceiling agreement. I wonder what is going to be opinion of Noam Chomsky, Andrew Kilman , James Petra and Naomi Klein who were supporting the lesser evil
The Debt Ceiling Agreement is an Attack on the Working Class and on the Planet.
Joe Biden and Kevin McCarthy’s deal to raise the debt ceiling is a handout to the military industrial complex and an attack on the working class and the planet. Rather than just raising the debt ceiling, a relatively standard practice that allows the U.S. to pay the bills for spending that already happened, this debt ceiling deal caps discretionary spending on everything but “defense” and fast-tracks the Mountain Valley Pipeline
After weeks of backdoor negotiation, the deal to finally raise the debt ceiling and avoid a catastrophic default was passed by the House on Wednesday with defections from some Republicans and Democrats — 71 Republicans and 46 Democrats opposed it. The bill then passed the Senate on Thursday evening, only after concerns about inadequate Pentagon funding were quelled with promises that emergency supplemental funds could be negotiated by the Senate at any time in the future. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Bernie Sanders, and much of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party voted against it, arguing against the de-facto cuts to social programs. Biden will sign the agreement in the next few days.
A default on the U.S. debt would have destabilized the global economy, been a blow to the U.S. economy by downgrading the U.S. credit rating, and would have resulted in the delay of social security and other necessary payments. Both the Democrats and the Republicans have cheered this deal; Biden and the Democrats because the bill averted a default and didn’t cut as much as the Republicans wanted, and the Republicans because a routine procedure became a mechanism to implement austerity.
The US is never really going to default of course. Going to the brink about this has just become part of the US political gane.

The black slaves and the Indians were not allowed to have guns, and the Comancheros who sold guns to the Indian were killed or taking to prison, but white peoples and the Ku Kux Klan were allowed to posses guns and kill the Indian and the blacks, the so called second amendment is a racist law.
The USA government and the ruling class allow peoples to have guns because they know that they are not going to rebel against the economic system, they are mentally domesticated by the ruling class to defend the interests of the capitalist class
In Latin America the USA did not allow peoples to have guns ( or books written by Marx and Engels ) because they knew that they were going to rebel against the governments imposed by them, many US marines were sent to crush revolutions and revolts using the pretext of the struggle against soviet communism, and in some places they did not have a communist party, it was illegal to have one
The drugs dealers have military weapons because they are sold by the US and Russians weapons industry and they are making huge profits, and then they are talking about the war against drugs, but the USA territory is the biggest planter and producer of cannabis.

It is only a political game, the us capitalist class is not going to shoot itself. It is being used in order to cut programs and reforms that were enacted during the new deal and the post war period, and in order to reduce the rate of taxation of the capitalist class. In reality it does prove the SP Case that the burden of taxation falls in the capitalist class

It is more than that, it allows the US capitalist to produce or extract more surplus value from the workers.The army is used in order to defend the interests of the US capitalist class and to fight for its world hegemony.
The capitalists class wants the workers to stay alive and healthy to work harder at the point of production, that is where our exploitation takes place.
There is a provision in the new accord which will force many workers to comeback to the point of production to produce profits for the capitalist class, and also there is a shortage of labors in certain sectors of the capitalist economy
The left-wingers only see it as a military problem, the USA army can have bow and arrow to defend the same interests but the production of modern armaments also produce profits.

They can fool the fools. There is not one USA president who has been a pacifist. Eugene Debs was incarcerated because he opposed the war. Trumps has not been charged with the real crimes, it was something similar to the impeachment. Criminal law is based on legal and ilegal crime. Al Capone was only charged for tax evasion, otherwise they would have been forced to place everybody in jail including judges, DA, policemen, lawyers, and bank officers
