So, evidence is emerging both of the apparent assasin's background, and how he may have acquired a homemade pistol.

As with Anders Breivik, this man would not differentiate us from his victim.

I'm not clear what you mean by this. Could you re-phrase.

Erm, I dunno how I can rephrase what seems a perfectly clear comment: he would be as likely to kill one of ours as he would one of Labour's.

All non-fascist politicos are regarded as part of the establishment by fascists.

Well, but they would see us as undifferentiated from the "Reds" as distinct from the Converatives or Liberals, they may be establishment but we're the enemy, and to the extent that however misguided we feel the Labour Party is, we're both part of the same worker's movement, this is an attack on us too.

For them, Labour are semi-secret 'Marxists' which they take to mean 'baddies'.I hear some twitter users are using the hashtag #ThankYourMP, something I think people should avoid.

I don't think she was murdered because she was Labour. I thought it was clear that it was because she supported remaining in the EU and was prominent in the campaign for this not just locally but nationally (she was, for instance, in a boat on the Thames opposing Farage and the trawler owners). This will be why they've suspended campaigning, especially the Leave mob as they stand to lose by this becoming too well known. And all the Remain mob have to do is sit back and hope for the sympathy vote. This could be the incident that swings things in their favour.  Serve the Leave mob right for stirring up xenophobia.

And thus dies the 'mental illness' alibi in the media:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36567005

Will any Fash have the courage of their convictions to call this man a hero?

Clearly a Brexiter then and done to help further Brexit. I can't see how they can wriggle out of this one. No wonder they've suspended their campaigning.

I think there may well be still a mental health problem in the attack although it very clear he subscribed to racist right-wing views. But what worries me is that reports that his racism such as insulting Asian cab-drivers was well known that a local cab company were preparing to ban him yet neighbours are insisting he was a quiet nice helpful person – Does it mean that they had selective hearing and such remarks did not warrant any comment or criticism from the folk around him because most shared his racism.

Yes, possibly.  Or it could be that they don’t want to admit to the world’s press that they were associating (to some extent) with a person capable of doing this – so they deny what’s palpably right in front of their eyes.Marina Hyde wrote a good article in the Guardian yesterday, on the Nigel Farage angle of this situation; here are a couple of quotes from it:‘ That the political atmosphere was febrile and fetid before Jo Cox’s death hardly needs stating. “How foul this referendum is,” wrote the novelist Robert Harris this week. “The most depressing, divisive, duplicitous political event of my lifetime. May there never be another.”  ‘And writing about how Nigel Farage reacts when he tries to distance himself from racist views:‘ Drop the voice, widen the eyes. He’ll probably do it this weekend. He certainly does it when anyone accuses him of borderline racism. Down goes the voice, as though he is personally trying to smother their insinuation in the appalled hush it deserves. I have to confess the Farage mind trick doesn’t work on me. Instead, every time Nigel deploys it, it makes me think of a Truman Capote line from In Cold Blood. “The quietness of his tone italicised the malice of his reply.”  ‘http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/17/united-kingdom-ukip-nigel-farage-leaversIt will be interesting to see how Farage plays it next week.  What will happen to the planned follow-ups of the “hate” poster?

Just been listening to a summary of what the papers are saying and am surprised as I didn't think they'd do it. But the Mail on Sunday has reproduced one of her articles urging a Remain vote while Cameron himself has also referred to her pro-Remain stance. It seems to be having an effect:http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/jo-coxs-death-sparks-eu-8226820#rlabs=2%20rt$category%20p$1On the other hand, one far right group is urging a Leave vote so that Mair's sacrifice will not be in vain:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3648446/Don-t-let-man-s-sacrifice-vain-Swastika-covered-vote-Leave-activist-shocking-support-Jo-Cox-s-alleged-killer-calls-MP-s-death-unfortunate-says-shouldn-t-stop-Britons-voting-out.html

I thought comparing these two videos offer us some insight into Britain First's very differing attitudes to the Cox murder and the Orlando slaughter – one is seen as a mental health issue – the other is an Islamic terrorist act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlFnJkLdzWMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfMjbuSSD4s

Don't know if you saw the funny changes to Farage's poster on Twitter:http://www.thecanary.co/2016/06/17/farages-migrant-propaganda-faulty-thankfully-twitter-fixed/

Most of these refugees come from Muslim countries. This could indicate one of two things:Islam works hand-in-glove with dictators or is powerless to stand up to them.
