The WSPUS article is now also on Countercurrents

    https://countercurrents.org/2020/08/the-first-emancipation/

Neither this or DV are high traffic websites but every little helps to gain the WSPUS some name recognition. We also managed to get WSP (India) a plug.

‘The cancellation of professor Adolph Reed, Jr.’s speech and the DSA’s promotion of race politics’ :

Not a bad article. It confirms the observation on the thread about the wsws site that from time to time there is some interesting stuff there.

    I liked this bit:

“The morning that the event was to take place, the AFROSOCialist Caucus demanded that Reed’s talk be cancelled and instead that there be a debate of his “class reductionist analysis versus our intersectional socialist analysis.”

Yes let’s debate it but with a slight change of title;  class reductionist analysis  versus anti-socialist intersectional analysis.

I think this news is one that many of us have been fearing – the intervention of right-wing militias. Or as others would call them – vigilantes

One person was shot dead and two more injured when at least one gunman opened fire on protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Hope the police catch those responsible. Unlike their victims, they get arrested, put before the Courts. Then trial by jury, if found guilty of murder, sentenced to  the death penalty. Let’s hope they hand themselves to police, do the right thing. I suspect not, cowards.

I fear who will lose if it escalates.

We know which sector of the population has the most guns.

We know what sector of the population has the tacit approval of law enforcement officers.

Video has emerged of having fired into protestors, who are appealing to the police to arrest him, and the assailant having killed two and wounded another seriously is able to walk unchallenged passed a number of police, before eventually surrendering with his hands raised up.

In many countries around the world, the ruling class is scared about peoples having guns because they can be overthrown, but in the USA the working class have guns in order to kill others members of the working class instead of overthrowing the ruling class, indeed it is in order to defend the interests of the ruling class and perpetuate its existence, as the militias and the minutemen, the second amendment was only applicable to the white men but it was not applicable to the black peoples and the Indians ( The government took to jail to the Comancheros who sold guns to the Comanches tribes )  The so-called working-class consciousness does not exist, it might be called working-class class conciliation. I think that Karl Marx never imagined that some sectors of the proletarian class were going to defend the interests of the bourgeoisie class

We may disparage a vote for Biden as a wasted vote but we do not say voting itself is a waste. Many agree contrary to the anarchists

At the commemoration of the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom also gave way to one central message: Vote and demand change at the ballot box in November.

“As Black people, a lot of the people who look like us died for us to be able to sit in public, to vote, to go to school and to be able to walk around freely and live our lives,” the 31-year-old Moreland said. “Every election is an opportunity, so how dare we not vote after our ancestors fought for us to be here?”

“If we do not vote in numbers that we’ve never ever seen before and allow this administration to continue what it is doing, we are headed on a course for serious destruction,” Martin Luther King III told The Associated Press

speakers implored attendees to “vote as if our lives depend on it,”

Rev. Al Sharpton said. “Our vote is dipped in blood. We’re going to vote for a nation that stops the George Floyds, that stops the Breonna Taylors.”

“We are about reminding people and educating people on how important it is to translate the power of protest into the power of politics and public policy change,” said Morial, who spoke Friday. “So we want to be deliberate about making the connection between protesting and voting.”

“I don’t necessarily see elections as achieving justice per se because I view the existing system itself as being fundamentally unjust in many ways and it is the existing system that we are trying to fundamentally transform,” said Bree Newsome Bass, an activist and civil rights organizer, during the convention’s panel about electoral justice. “I do think voting and recognizing what an election should be is a way to kind of exercise that muscle.”

So now a right-winger is a victim of a shooting, this time in Portland.

Will this develop into tit-for-tat revenge killings?

I’m astonished a race war hasn’t broken out already.

Man shot dead on Saturday evening. The dead man was  a fascist, (see above) who pepper sprayed someone and was shot.

The dead man, publicly defended murdered   “MaxAttack” (MAX refers to a type of  train) MadMAX murdered 2 men after stabbing them. The victims came to the aid of 2 women of colour MaxAttack was abusing.

I saw a nice epitaph to the dead man. Maybe it was irony?*
He dead man seems to have got his comeuppance

*If reports from CHUDS are true, here is their fallen “hero” extolling the virtues of murder. I’m sorry that Jay Bishop didn’t live long enough to repent for his vileness. What a way to go, with all this hate still inside you, Jay.

In the USA they are celebrating the so-called Labor Day which should have been a day of world working-class unity, by the meantime workers are killing each other in the streets and supporting their own masters and class enemies. In my 54  years old dictionary it is called class conciliation and that is what learned when I started in this movement, when the working class support the bourgoise class, they are the winners and the workers are defeated

Why isn’t Labor Day in the USA the first of May?
