“Palestinian society is a class society like everywhere else in the world. Palestinian nationalism is led and defined by its capitalist class or bourgeoisie.”

I have never heard anyone of them saying that Israel and Palestine are both capitalists society divided by capitalists and workers. According to them the whole world ( including the USA ) is controlled by the Zionists, and two individuals: Soros and the Rothschild family are the main actors. I do not know when they are going to learn from past history, they always repeat the same mistakes all the time

After Israeli Election, We Need to Think Beyond Two-State Solution
“…Do we reflexively oppose thinking that is outside the current two-state consensus, or do we work to end the inequality of occupation and apartheid that Palestinians live under as second-class citizens…”
I recall one member long ago posting that the Palestinians should transform their nationalist campaign into a civil rights one, demanding full and equal citizenship of Israel, when the prevailing opinion was the Two-State Option.

February 16, 2021 at 1:42 am #213918alanjjohnstoneKeymasterWe have never been friends of Hamas and one reason is this.
In a rollback in women’s rights a Hamas-run Islamic court in the Gaza Strip has ruled that women require the permission of a male guardian to travel. The decision by the sharia judicial council, issued on Sunday, says an unmarried woman may not travel without the permission of her “guardian”, which would usually refer to her father or another older male relative. Permission would need to be registered at the court, but the man would not be required to accompany the woman on the trip.
The ruling resembles the so-called guardianship laws that long existed in Saudi Arabia.
Zainab al-Ghunaimi, an activist who runs a Gaza-based group focused on women’s rights, said the ruling contravened the Palestinian basic law, which grants equal rights to adults, and meant that authorities were “going backwards in protecting human rights”.
