Does any one know the barriers to having a forum titled 'SPGB Branches' or 'Socialist Party branches', with sub- forum for each branch? Instead of the awful yahoo groups?

I think it would be one small step for us to take but one giant leap…….

Thanks admin but I am aware of those but they are not user friendly. I was thinking of the same format a the main forum. For example:   'Socialist Party Branches' between 'World Socialist Movement' and 'Website Technical'

They are not really that disimular to the forum. What differences do you think make it look less user friendly? Is it just the layout?

The forum you referred me to is very different. Like this? Nothing like this easy to follow discussion you and I are having. Nothing similar about them.http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/groups/internet-committee

The only real difference is in the layout and that the default is for new comments to appear at the top.I agree the forum layout does look clearer, Perhaps I will have a look at making them both match. The groups section is diferent to the forum in that only members of certain groups can participate in the discussion. This is a better example:http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/groups/west-midlands-branch/branch-meeting-29-july-2012-onlineEDIT:Or I may be able to tweek the forum so some sections are for members only..

That would be great, Admin. I think if the 'groups' was as good as this forum  – and it is good, very user friendly – I think it may encourage branches to use it.
