ParticipantCheers, that looks interesting.

ParticipantThanks for sharing this, I did wonder why there were no banners of Rosa Luxemburg herself at a demonstration in her honour? I also noticed one banner that mentioned Liebknecht, the other socialist that the march was honouring.

ParticipantThe SPGB aren't interested in dividing those who stand for world socialism of common ownership. This isn't something the SNP stand for, the SNP stand for dividing workers between English and Scottish. Many Scottish workers agree with this and support the SNP. Doesn't make it right.

ParticipantA few people are pointing out the US drone bombings of Yemen have killed as many people as the Charlie Hebdo attack in France but the outcry has been less.

ParticipantProposing a program that members know is transitional to something else, but non-members do not is precisely the kind of lying that has destroyed people's faith in politics and why anti-politics prospers.

ParticipantYes voting and counting votes in the United Kingdom have been observed by independent observers as fair compared to the United States etc. I can't see why these practices can't continue into socialism. I'm not as opposed to postal voting under any circumstances either. However nomination rules and especially ballot access in the United States however scrupulously applied cannot be regarded as fair other than fair to the ruling ideas of the ruling class.

ParticipantGood work, appreciated. This topic could be moved to World Socialist Movement though and the articles shared on this website and publicised via the newsletter.

ParticipantI don't think most normal people care about the Soviet Union one way or another anymore. It's going to be increasingly not worth rebutting. Any neo-Bolsheviks will look daft trying to hold it up as an example to follow in the 21st Century. It's not the ideal outcome for the socialist critics of the Soviet Union but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Participantcan someone other than DJP give this a go here?

After all, 2016 isn't that far away and that will be the hundredth anniversary of the formation of the WSPUS.And, yes, I know that the WSPUS will only function better if members like my good self get off my arse and do some actual activity. It would be more than nice, it is a historical imperative.

ParticipantNew applications for membership will counteract the inevitable ageing process on existing members.

ParticipantThe ruling ideas of each age (election legal formalities) have ever been the ideas of its ruling class.
