ParticipantWeirdly enough I first heard of Steve Harley via this rather good cover version from an unlikely source:

ParticipantI’m expecting a four page review (and retrospective) in next month’s Standard.
This will be great . . . but it’s not guaranteed that I’ll get to see it. Which is a bastard shame.
Crooked Mile was my favourite album of 1987. Still holds up to this day.

ParticipantMartin Newell. Also known as the Cleaners from Venus.
Brilliant songwriter. A lost treasure . . .and all that jazz:

ParticipantA lost classic.

ParticipantI was thinking of Aztec Camera.
Speaking of Josef K:

ParticipantNah, as good as they were, they weren’t even the best band on Postcard.

ParticipantThe greatest debut single of all time?

ParticipantJust a bit a fun as I’m adding new features to the blog, a run down of the 20 most popular Pathfinders columns on the blog. I’m not saying they are necessarily the most best of the columns but it does some indication of what catches people’s eye:

ParticipantI might by wrong but the lady holding the anti-Galloway placard in the East London Lines article looks like a longstanding member of the AWL who I remember from back in the day.
As I’m not 100% sure I won’t give out her name in case it’s not her.

ParticipantThe Galloway clip where he’s dog-whistling about the ‘Deep State’ in the USA is from his own podcast show, MOATS:
imposs1904
ParticipantNot sure how recent this clip is but it’s a bit of an eye opener. The suggestion that the ‘Deep State’ wants to take down Lauren Boebert is especially cringeworthy.
George Galloway says that Russell Brand, Tucker Carlson, RFK Jr., and Lauren Boebert are/will be framed for sexual assault by the establishment for criticizing the COVID vaccine and Ukraine, and then says Jan. 6 wasn't an insurrection and implies a conspiracy behind it. pic.twitter.com/89cTUBUNwL

ParticipantI would be genuinely surprised if Corbyn was to make a final break from the Labour Party but there’s no denying it would be an interesting development if it was to happen as outlined by Galloway in this clip:
George Galloway calls on Jeremy Corbyn: "Announce an alliance of the remaining socialists in the country, you lead it, I'll support it, and let's go. Time is running out." pic.twitter.com/itnNct7vtK
