ParticipantWatergate is unlikely to happen in a gangster capitalist regime like Maduro’s Venezuela.

ParticipantThe Orinoco Tribune is a pro-government publication which never says anything negative about the Maduro regime. It beats me therefore how it can be quoted as though it were 100% reliable (or even, from the its record, even faintly reliable).

ParticipantYes, unanswerable.

ParticipantBut it’s the ‘snake oil’ offered by the previous government that’s to blame (that’s Starmer’s way out of it).

ParticipantWorth reviewing for the Standard? By the way is it true that, without eating animals, we wouldn’t have evolved as we have? There seems to be a fair amount of evidence now that there was a hell of a lot more gathering than hunting among early homo sapiens.

ParticipantYes, ‘The Light’ just gets nuttier and nuttier. I heard something on the radio about Lembit Opik recently suggesting he’s gone even more off the rails than in the past. I also see that they’ve has managed to rail in Chomsky as a supporter (there’s an interview with him). They seem to somehow to think that his criticisms of capitalism make him one of theirs.

ParticipantLizzie, what is it with you? Why are you so preoccupied with a Party you consider useless? Have you examined your motives? Is one of them that at bottom you’re attracted to or fascinated by the SPGB but unable to admit it to yourself (or to anyone else)?
