The articles cover the course of the war and the conflicts over sources of raw materials and trade routes that underlaid it; world politics; UK politics; the Communist Party’s double somersault over the war; working class politics; rationing for the working class while the ruling class continued to live the same life of luxury as before. The Party’s then Head Office was bombed in 1941 and at least two members were killed by flying bombs in 1944.
Fascinating stuff for those interested in the period and Party history.
