In Israel, they are doing the same thing, and children are writing messages on missiles. The new Colombian government is hiring children for the armed forces to combat communism and drug dealers. The new president was a defence lawyer for the drug cartels. He was an atheist, and now he is catholic

Economist Jeffrey Sachs has frequently warned that the world is in the early stages of World War III and faces an unprecedented risk of a nuclear apocalypse. Critics accuse Sachs of promoting fear and amplifying “Armageddon” rhetoric, arguing that his commentary aligns with Kremlin talking points designed to intimidate the West into abandoning its support for Ukraine. Conversely, supporters view his warnings as a necessary, realistic alarm against catastrophic military escalation.

    The Basis of Sachs’s Warnings

In lectures, media appearances, and podcast discussions (such as his analysis of Annie Jacobsen’s book Nuclear War: A Scenario), Sachs argues that modern geopolitical tensions have pushed humanity closer to nuclear annihilation than at any point in history.
    His core arguments include:
    • The “Doomsday Clock” Analogy: Sachs frequently highlights that the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has set the Doomsday Clock closer to midnight than ever before, reflecting a state of severe global instability.
    • Historical Precedents: Drawing parallels to the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, Sachs asserts that leaders are ignoring the historical lessons of John F. Kennedy, who chose diplomacy and compromise over total war.
    • Proxy Conflicts and Over-Escalation: He maintains that the United States and NATO are engaging in an “omnicidal escalation” by continuously expanding military lines and deploying advanced weaponry in Ukraine and the Middle East, which could accidentally trigger a full-scale nuclear winter.

    AI Overview

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal announced plans to decommission a 22-kilometer backup gas pipeline running through southeastern Estonia that Russia uses to supply its Kaliningrad exclave.
    • The Pipeline: The infrastructure consists of two 70-centimeter-diameter pipes owned by Estonia’s transmission system operator, Elering. It runs from Russia through Estonia and Latvia to Lithuania.
    • Backup Route: Russia maintains rights to use the pipeline as a secondary or emergency supply line if its main overland route (via Belarus and Lithuania) or Kaliningrad’s floating LNG terminal face disruptions.
    • The Action: Estonia intends to negotiate with Latvia—where the critical shutoff valve is located—to permanently close and decommission the line, or else block transit through unilateral national sanctions.
    • Regional Context: Kaliningrad relies heavily on gas transit for local power generation after the Baltic states disconnected from the joint Russian-Soviet electricity grid (BRELL). Russia has previously warned NATO that any move to cut off or isolate the exclave could prompt a severe or nuclear response.

Either the US is tired of its proxy war in Ukraine or it is not.

Only UK and EU propaganda is available via searches here.

There is obviously a split in the US capitalist class playing out here, but the majority don’t appear to want a thaw with Russia, and that’s practically 100% of Democrats and most Republicans. So what’s going on?

Can someone shed some light on this please?
