ParticipantThe Russian are not fools in order to give to the USA the large chunk of minerals that already have taken in Ukraine,
They also need it and they can sell them to members of BRIcS including China.
They can not twist arms with the Russian empire Biden tried and it did not work

Participant“I always read your comments, and I also follow an organization, the World Socialist Web, since the invasion of Ukraine. Through this group, there is a tendency to take sides with Russia, and they always give the impression of an imminent nuclear war. Through you, I see a more realistic analysis—that capitalists are not going to destroy their wealth to live in bunkers during a nuclear war. Your perspective is that both sides are fighting for the interests of their own ruling classes.
I was very disappointed to see Richard Wolff and another so-called Marxist focus only on the decline of U.S. dominance and view China’s rise as something positive. Even worse, some still believe that China is socialist when it never has been.”

ParticipantQuite so. Take a look at the thread Who Was Mao Tse-tung in our Socialist Standard feedback section.
Mao’s megalomaniacal tyranny went right back to his seizing his prime position whilst still on the Long March. It didn’t begin in the 1960s with his “Cultural Revolution” garbage. His was already a garbage regime, before 1949.February 17, 2025 at 5:37 pm #256896robbo203

ParticipantIt is a photo of Kid Starmer dressed in military gear with the caption: “Starmer: I am ready to put British Troops in Ukraine: PM´s announcement puts pressure on European leaders to do the same at summit in Paris”
As if…

ParticipantKrieg Starmer!
No doubt the “peacekeeping” money will mean less for “benefits” and social funding here.

ParticipantSo it looks like Starmer wasn’t able to drum up the support he was hoping for. This commentator is a small c conservative but entertaining enough to listen to

ParticipantHe should try it on the music hall, tramping up and down in a uniform.

ParticipantIt looks like the writing is on the wall….
“A modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a war that couldn’t be won, that never had to start,” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social.

ParticipantI seem to remember Zelensky being originally voted in on a restore-relations-with-Russia ticket.

ParticipantCapitalists do not have friends, they only have temporary alliances, and they always cheat each other, and despite that there are millions of workers who support their own class enemies. The US government spent millions in this war that is already lost, but the weapons manufacturers earned billions of dollars too. All wars are financed by the capitalists class, the workers can not even pay their rents and buy groceries
