Here’s one for any budding vexillologists. The Daily Telegraph today (2/10/25) tells us that the state spent 50,000 quid on new US flags (approx 800 per flag) for Trump’s recent state visit. The rags they already had were outdated because the US government has opted for a new shade of red. The article interviews the owner of the official flag supplier, who then goes on to criticise local vexillophiles for putting up 5 quid knockoffs made in Taiwan. Shame on them. I do hope the Torygraph isn’t just making this up!
