I have a certain amount of sympathy for your position, Alan, but what particularly concerns me is the present under-utilisation of Head Office for public events especially when it's the meeting place of one of the London branches.

The Campaigns department also appears to be quite inactive at the moment, the last event at HO being on January 20th, one of the coldest nights of the year so far with snow on the ground, which nevertheless failed to deter 7 visitors. 

There are no plans for any follow-up meetings this month and no evidence I've seen thus far for anything in March. Even if there was some difficulty in arranging speakers for this time of the year no particular feat of organisation would have been required to show films as in previous autumns/winters especially when a number of visitors and members have requested them.
