These “socialists” who have “entered” the Democratic Party are only what — a long time ago – the Labour Party in Britain and Social Democrat parties in Europe used to be: common or garden reformists.
Here’s their website:
Still, I suppose it shows that “socialist” is no longer a dirty word to many in America.

That is what this group has indicated in this article. It used to be the expression of Alan Johnston too when Bernie Sanders was running his campaign to be president but he moved to the right when he started to support Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and he lost popularity among the young workers .
The Democrats Party also made opposition to Bernie Sander, and they will make opposition to this Social Democrat. Despite the fact that this is not a real socialist movement, the ruling class is afraid that a real movement might be spread among the workers, and form their own political party and leave the Democratic Party.
Donald Trump has called him a 100% communist lunatic, but he is not a communist, as well, the political party behind him is not a communist party either. There had been many candidates and movements like this one in Latin America, Europe, and Africa from political party that are members of the Bernstein socialist international, and some presidential candidates were promoted by the USA, because they knew that they are just Trojan horses within the working class movement. There was a political institute and group in Costa Rica during the 60 that promoted this type of reforms. They were working class movement firemen .

ParticipantFor many young workers and students in the USA this is a new movement, but it has existed since the time of the creation of the La Sallean social democracy, and described by Marx in the Critique to the Gotha Program, and during the struggles with the reformist Edward Bernstein, and also described by Rosa Luxembourg on Socialism and Reformism. Several presidential candidates attached to the Socialist International became presidents and the reality forced them to continue administering capitalism to satisfy the needs of the capitalist class. The first governor of Puerto Rico was a social democrat, and he was the founder of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the first democratically elected president of the Dominican Republic was a social democrat, the president of Costa Rica Jose Luis Figueres was a social democrat. It is a very old bourgeois political experiment

ParticipantThese “socialists” who have “entered” the Democratic Party are only what — a long time ago – the Labour Party in Britain and Social Democrat parties in Europe used to be: common or garden reformists.
———————————————————————————————Most members of those organizations have not even read the Communist Manifesto, which also contains some reformist clauses. Several years most of those so called socialist or communists organizations were integrated by students, to hang about 10 pictures in the walls of the so called classics of Marxism, and none of those classics were Marxists either, they were guerrillas fighters, third world dictators, and apologists of state capitalism
They can have one millions members and they do not create a dent on the capitalist society. Its objective is to infiltrate members in the Democratic Party, and to try to beautify capitalism, to push one or two reforms which have been passed by rightwing leaders, and to collaborate with the bourgoise class
As the old Leninist parties used to send members to be infiltrated in the workers unions, to fight for their own leadership, and create internal problems, or infiltrating members within the peasants movements, and then, the capitalists created their own land reforms, and the movement died. I have watched that movie several times
There is not socialism, socialist countries, socialist leaders, or socialist governments, and there are only a few socialists in this world

ParticipantSome Republicans leaders have asked the Department of Justice to remove his US citizenship and deport him

ParticipantWhen he fails because he is going to fail drastically, the US ruling class is going to use his failure in order to show to the workers that socialism does not work, and they are going to put more mud on top of socialism.
The US ruling class has an enormous apparatus for propaganda against communism, and most workers in the US believe everything that is propagated by the ruling class, for the workers a lawyer requesting a rent decrease for a tenant is communism, reading socialist literatures among them is null
I have read the opinions of peoples who are supporting him and they do not have the minimum clue of what socialism really is, it is more romance than anything else, they think that socialism is just high taxation to the rich, to finance public schools, transportation and housing, all those reforms have been done by capitalists governments.
The only thing that is positive is that socialism is not a dirty word anymore for certain certain of the working class, and might motivate the creation of an independent working class political party because workers are going to see that the capitalist parties can not resolve their own problems

ParticipantAnd here is the platform of him whom Trump calls a ‘100% Communist Lunatic’:
June 29, 2025 at 10:20 pm #259299Citizenoftheworld
ParticipantA bunch of bourgeoisie reforms that have been implemented by right wing governments in order to pacify the working class, and to stop wage slaves revolts. Land reforms for the peasants were approved by right wingers too, and some so called communists supported the measures
In Argentina Domingo Peron passed many of those reforms including tuition free education, and free transportation, free medical services for the workers, low cost housing and subsidy for housing, he nationalized the public transportation and the telephone, and he was not a communist lunatic, on the contrary, some of his opposition were saying that he was a fascist
He passed more social democrats reforms than Salvador Allende and Hugo Chavez, even more, Hugo Chavez used to be called the Caribbean Peronist.
The FDR New Deal was approved by a bunch of right wingers and now they are reversing everything, most reforms can be reversed by any new leader .
I can go on, and on. There is nothing extraordinary
Lyndon B Johnson approved several educational reforms, and many students worked at several university under the so called Johnson plan .
There is a great difference between Social democracy and socialism/communism
