Maybe they are socialists by nature.
There are people who think you kill a plant when you pick it and eat it, and that it screams.

I don’t know if it is an apocryphal story but i read that Native American men were attracted to women with ample back-sides because in times of shortages a slice of meat could be taken from the fat buttocks.
Vegans could take the next steo and become nutarians — as long as they only eat nuts that have fallen to the ground.
It has been known for sometime that venus fly traps have what is a very rudimentary counting system. When a fly lands in the trap there are bristles that are sensitive to fly movements, however the trap only closes after the bristles have been touched twice.

In a way this kind of thing is the same as, for example, the cells of our body ‘knowing’ where to go inside us so we stay more or less in shape. Or, for that matter, a computer program ‘knowing’ the difference between a click and a double click.
There is some kind of programming going on but it would also be interesting to know if there were any self-awareness involved.and talking about consciousness how about this
