    Bill Martin will be debating Keith Knight, an anarcho-capitalist YouTuber, on the Blue Politics site on Discord, next Monday 24 August at 8.30pm BST.

    If you want to attend this debate you will need access to the Blue Politics site. You can use this standard invite to gain entry:

    The site has a filter system to stop trolls, so you will need to follow these instructions once you’re in.

    Find the  #lurker-verification channel and answer the pinned questions. To make it easier, these are the questions (note: AMA stands for Ask-Me-Anything, a kind of collective interview).

    1. how did you find the server? (You can say you got the invite from me)
    2. have you read the rules? if so
    3. what are the first letters of the 3 banned words (Rule 1) and
    4. describe rule 13 in your own words.
    5. do you have any interest in AMAs with public figures, debate nights, or mock government?

    These peoples were completely debunked at the WSM forum and then I was told to block them, and one of them was invited by me to the WSM forum, and now all the shit falls on me. The member of the WSM forum that I invited to the forum told me that he was a socialist, and then, he showed his real character

    In Latin America, many of them were spies who infiltrated themselves inside the leftist organization wearing the masks of socialists and anarchists,  and then, they show their real character and their real names or labels as Anarcho-capitalists, their actions provoked the death and imprisonment of many peoples.


    All these so-called Libertarians were the ones who betrayed  the Chileans workers and participated in the robbery of their pensions and retirements,  and they were supporters of the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, and they were fierce anti-communists, some of them were part of the so called working class movement and then they became defenders of the capitalists class. In Chile and in South America they do not travel with these fellows if they do, it would be carrying a rope to hang them


    These peoples were completely debunked at the WSM forum and then I was told to block them, and one of them was invited by me to the WSM forum, and now all the shit falls on me. 


    So who told you and why did you chose to comply  with the wishes of this individual (s) anyway since this goes against the democratic tradition of the WSM in inviting criticism from ALL opponents?   We are not some Stalinist organisation and we are not selective in extending the democratic principle of free speech to our opponents.  If we can’t deal with criticisms of opponents in healthy debate then that sends out the message that our case doesn’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to such criticism  and that we prefer to hide behind a wall of censorship to conceal this weakness.


    As a socialist, I fundamentally reject this way of doing things as a matter of principle

    At one point the debaters reach out for clarification of the phrase from Adam Smith “the invisible hand”

    “…The rich….are led by an invisible hand to make nearly the same distribution of the necessaries of life, which would have been made, had the earth been divided into equal portions among all its inhabitants, and thus without intending it, without knowing it, advance the interest of the society, and afford means to the multiplication of the species…”

    The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759) in Part IV, Chapter 1,

    Which supports, Bill’s interpretation

    “…By preferring the support of domestic to that of foreign industry, he intends only his own security; and by directing that industry in such a manner as its produce may be of the greatest value, he intends only his own gain, and he is in this, as in many other cases, led by an invisible hand to promote an end which was no part of his intention. Nor is it always the worse for the society that it was not part of it. By pursuing his own interest he frequently promotes that of the society more effectually than when he really intends to promote it…”

    Which indicates what might be Keith Knight’s take.


    Good debate in which Bill put the case for socialism excellently. Worth listening to if you’ve a spare 90 minutes.
