Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has told a top Vietnamese official the two countries should refrain from unilateral actions regarding the South China Sea that could complicate the situation and magnify disputes.

The UK, US and Australia have announced a special security pact to share advanced defence technologies, in an effort to counter China.
The partnership will enable Australia to build nuclear-powered submarines for the first time.
The pact, to be known as Aukus, will also cover artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and cyber.
Taiwan has proposed spending an extra $8.69bn on defence over the next five years including on new missiles. The new money which comes on top of planned military spending of $17bn for the year starting in January.

There are some economical speculations that the USA is going to re-industrialize itself to be able to compete with China in the world market and production of commodities.
