The worst tyrant of all is the US government and the American capitalist class. Mao was the tyrant of China for a short period of time, but the US government has been the tyrant of many countries for a long period of time.
The Chinese workers would have been better off under Chiang Kai-shek, and I never thought I would say that. But the horror of life under China`s Pol Pot, Mao Tse-tung, makes me say it. Imagine Pol Pot ruling for nearly 30 years! No wonder Mao idolised the killer Emperor before him, Ch`in Shih Huang!The book burnings, too, make Hitler`s look like a tiny spark; not to mention the burning of lepers alive!
"Too many on the Left, deny the reality."You`re darn right! And socialists should get rid of any individual soft spot for the "Marxist" types such as Mao, and I think a lot of them have such a soft spot – even while they know such types have nothing to do with socialism.
